Fencing or marking tape is a very useful thing, but it is usually not considered as a material for creativity. And in vain, because it turns out that you can create real works of art from ordinary self-adhesive tape!
An example of creative work with everyday materials will show us today Megan Geckler - the author of bright and cheerful pieces of color tape. Megan creates both large-scale installations, "tied" to a specific room, and stand-alone sculptural forms.
Tens and hundreds of meters of colored tape, glued to the walls, floor, ceiling and stretched between them, fill any room with an atmosphere of celebration and fun. The works of our heroine are an excellent confirmation of the fact that with talent, even the cheapest and most ordinary-looking material can be used in a worthy and original way.
Megan Heckler herself calls her works "architectural installations", giving them a place somewhere in the middle between design and art. It is really not easy to clearly define the genre: color installations will perfectly fit into the interior, becoming its "highlight", but they also look quite good as independent art works.

Watches that have roulette tapes instead of hands
If you are used to the fact that hours, minutes and seconds are shown on the clock, then designers can change this thing in no time. Of course, they are unlikely to risk changing the system itself, but why not fix the seconds for… days? After all, sometimes we cannot remember the day of the week! And the seconds are not so important to us

Destroy to build. Installations from paper tapes by the artist Naama Arad
Unnecessary documents, which are "stuffed" in the offices of the shredder, turn into small paper noodles, therefore, into garbage. The Israeli artist Naama Arad has learned to make use of this waste, or rather, to apply the "shredder method" in her art. Her installation, entitled El Al, consists of paintings made of paper noodles like this. Is that very wide and long
