By the one hundred and first year since the founding of the Lenfilm studio, it was decided to open an exhibition, where the original props and decorations, which were used during the creation of various films of this studio, which is the oldest among all film studios, act as exhibits. This exhibition was opened in St. Petersburg, in the shopping and entertainment center called "Gallery". In total, the exhibition consists of six stands, which display exhibits that are part of the most famous films produced by Lenfilm.
During the opening of this exhibition, Eduard Pichugin, who holds the position of General Director at Lenfilm, made a speech. He drew attention to the fact that during the entire existence of this studio, more than 1,500 films have been created. The organizers of the exhibition decided to show everyone who is interested in making a film objects that are part of the history of the film studio. The CEO recalled some of the studio's works, such as Hamlet and Sherlock Holmes, all because these films were recognized as the best adaptations of the works of famous writers.
The centerpiece of the exhibition is the three-dimensional image of the Bronze Horseman monument, which is the legendary Lenfilm logo. Exhibition stands were placed around this element, which are designed to tell the visitors of the event about the creation of such films as "Striped Flight", "Heavenly Slow Mover", "Sherlock Holmes and Doctor Watson", "Three Days to Spring", "Hamlet". Each section of this exposition tells a summary of the film, about interesting moments that happened during the filming. It also provides information on how a particular film was perceived by the audience, how many and what awards it was able to win.
Visitors to the exhibition will learn the details of how the actors Vasily Livanov and Vitaly Solomin became Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, they will understand how the dialogues in the film were created, which are still cited today. At the stand dedicated to the film "Three Days to Spring", it was decided to show visitors the scenery, which is a small part of the destroyed Leningradskaya street damaged during the blockade, a retro car from the war, props from the sets and costumes of the actors. Especially for the stand dedicated to the film "Heavenly Slow Mover", masters from among the decorators were engaged in the creation of a special plane.
A separate stand was allocated for Lisa Chernobay's toys. Here visitors can see characters from the films Sherlock Holmes, Cinderella, Three Fat Men and Amphibian Man. The peculiarity of these toys is the use of mechanisms with which they can come to life. The exhibition will run until May 26.
