In St. Petersburg, in the Mikhailovsky Garden of the Russian Museum, an exhibition of landscape design was opened. Ladies in floral dresses walk along the alleys, cabbages are driving, and in the depths a chess kingdom is hidden. Here, plants can not only be seen, they can be heard and touched.

The exhibition "Imperial Gardens" in the Mikhailovsky Garden is being held for the sixth time. This year the festival was dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the Russian Museum, the 155th anniversary of the Russian Imperial Society of Gardeners and the 4th century anniversary of the House of Romanov. Many compositions are associated with these dates. For example, the "golden" and "bloody" labyrinths in the arches, which symbolize the 4th century of the Romanovs, were made by a German tree nursery. Nearby is the fragrant rose garden of the Aene-le-Vieille castle (France). After the exhibition, all the roses will be sent to the Maryino estate near St. Petersburg.

One of the most interesting compositions - "The Game of Monarchs": fans of roundness and "square" figures collide on the chessboard

This year, for the first time in Russia, a project of a garden of sensations has been implemented. The 12 conifers differ in texture, and each plant is provided with an audio guide and a braille nameplate. You can touch the paintings of the Impressionists - right on the grass near the Rossi pavilion there was an exposition "Replicas" of the sculptor and artist from Italy Paolo Maya, who revived the canvases of Picasso, Van Gogh and Modigliani, and to the famous painting "Son of Man" by Rene Magritte, the artist added an author's detail - located in the center of the composition a snake gnaws an apple.

In the style of the Year of Environmental Protection, the work "Kilombo" was made. This term refers to an ecovillage that uses native plant species and lives in harmony with nature. Palm trees appeared in the center of St. Petersburg - a tribute to the first such settlements in Brazil. On the appeared improvised bed, rosemary grows, which was planted with piece twigs, like carrots.

The rain, habitual to the citizens of St. Petersburg, flows down like a waterfall from the orange wall, which, according to the authors, personifies the "rising sun".
