When we are asked to tell about the impressions of a film that has long been in our favorites, or from an exciting novelty of film distribution, we need a huge amount of words, interjections, allegories and comparisons. And some just do not have enough words, and they confine themselves to incoherent exclamations that convey the entire emotional component of the film. To the French illustrator Pascal Richon it took even less: in my art project One object movie it is limited to one single object, which is the whole meaning of cinema. Alternative posters for films are drawn by many artists, and they hold minimalism in high esteem. So, you can recall the laconic posters for Russian films from the participants in the design game Andrei Gubin, or the equally laconic art projects of Patrick Svensson. But the French student chose a different path, a little off the beaten track. His impressions of films are grouped around one object, or fragment, which is the key.
To fit the story of the film into one phrase, or into one subject, this is the very brevity that is called the sister of talent. For example, for the "Matrix" there are two tablets to choose from, for "American Beauty" - a rose of the same name, for "Titanic" - an ice-bound heart. Well, when you see a brown sofa of a characteristic design in the picture, it is difficult not to recognize Homer Simpson's favorite furniture in it, as well as his favorite sweetness in a donut.
Simply put, the minimalistic project One object movie is built on associations that help a person remember what the film was about, or get an idea of what he will have to see. This art project is available on Pascal Richon's website.

Posters of movie and TV series masterpieces in the spirit of minimalism from two designers
Minimalism is a very interesting trend in modern art, when a minimum of funds are used to create a work. This would be perfect for the official publishers of movie posters, because in this case, just one detail can convey the plot of the film as a whole. It was this idea that was developed almost simultaneously by two different designers: one made great posters of the most famous TV series, such as Lost and Dexter, in this vein, and the other - his favorite films, from "Pulp Fiction" to cartoon

One million coffee beans. One World, One Family, One Coffee: another mosaic of Saimir Strati
This Albanian maestro, multiple "record holder" for mosaics, Saimir Strati, has already been met by the readers of Culturology.Ru on the pages of the site. It was he who created a painting of 300,000 screws and a portrait of Leonardo da Vinci from nails, and also laid out images from corks and toothpicks. And the new mosaic, on which the author is working today, probably cost him more than one hundred cups of strong aromatic coffee, since he lays it out from a million coffee beans
Movies and machines in them. Car Posters by Jesus Prudencio
The movie posters almost always write the names of the actors who star in a given film, but they never mention an equally important participant in the filming - the car that the main characters drive. Illustrator Jesus Prudencio decided to correct this sad trend by creating a series of alternative cult movie posters dedicated to cars
