Korean artist Rim Lee - a real master hyperrealistic painting … A series of her paintings is called "The Mess of Emotion" ("A Disorder of Emotions") and represents images of women whose bodies are covered with a thick layer of acrylic paint. Gradually, from the chaos of movements and forms, sensual visual images are born, which reflect the artist's view of the female worldview.
The work on the project turned out to be quite difficult: Rim Lee independently implemented a bold concept. She happened to play the roles of a make-up artist, model, photographer and, of course, an artist. At first, the girl had to pose for the camera, and then - to recreate the images captured by the camera with oil paints. Each of the stages is quite tedious and requires special skill, but the resulting result fully justifies the effort spent: in the paintings we see a woman who has given herself completely to her emotions and feelings.
Rim Lee admits that she is most interested in the sphere of mental experiences and emotions. Although most of us have different living conditions, sometimes we experience the same feelings. The artist is sure that her paintings will become an impulse for viewers to think about the sensual sphere.
The choice of black and white colors is due to the binary nature of human relationships: we have both similarities and differences. The two-dimensional image, according to Rim Lee, allows the viewer to fully immerse himself in what is happening and empathize with the heroine of the paintings. Certainly, the series of drawings "The Mess of Emotion" is a luxurious gift for true aesthetes.
