In the Russian Federation, the Marvel-owned Deadpool comic has been censored. The reason for this was one of the chapters in the comic "Deadpool. MAX ". The publishing house "Comilfo" had to refuse to publish such a chapter, after its specialists had consulted with a specialist from Rospotrebnadzor. This was reported in one of the news outlets.
Deadpool is an atypical comic book character from Marvel. The story about him is always accompanied by scenes with a high level of violence, as well as scenes of sex. In this regard, publishers have to put the mark "18+" on them without fail. The layout of the comic book to the publishing house that produces comics about Deadpool had to be sent for evaluation to an expert who was accredited by Rospotrebnadzor. This specialist, when viewing a new comic strip, came to the conclusion that in one of its parts he was promoting Nazism. This part was originally written on behalf of Baron Zemo.
They decided not to add a chapter to the Russian comic strip where the antagonist praises Hitler, says that the white race is the greatest. Baron Zemo also talks about the need to revive the Ku Klux Klan and the need for the Holocaust. He himself is preparing for a provocation, which would be the beginning of an interracial war in the United States of America. Deadpool decides to dress up as a Hasidic Jew before the last battle with Baron Zemo, and calls his opponent a "Nazi piece of shit."
The expert, while studying the model, realized that the image of the villain Baron Zemo is caricatured and this part itself is satirical. But in his opinion, neither satire nor humor can be objects of racism, Nazism and the Holocaust. Laughing at such serious topics, a person ceases to consider them important. This result suggests that the creation of such satirical works is Nazi propaganda. Since the story turned out to be controversial, the publishing house decided to refuse to publish it.
The news outlets recall that the case with the comic "Deadpool. MAX" is not an isolated one. Other foreign comics designed for an adult audience also had problems with release in the Russian Federation earlier. For example, not so long ago, in December 2018, Russian printers refused to print a story titled "The Pro". The reason for this was that his main character was engaged in prostitution.
