The Polish aphorist Leopold Nowak has a wonderful saying: "The larger the mirror, the smaller the person." Especially if the mirror reflects nothing more than the beauty and grandeur of the surrounding nature. A series of amazing photographs depicting easel mirrors reflecting desert landscapes was presented by New York photographer Daniel Kukla.

The artist lived for a month in Joshua National Park in Southern California to take a series of these amazing photographs. They depict the "junction" of the Sonoran and Mojave deserts. To convey all the contradictions of this territory, the photographer used … mirrors, which were installed in such a way that the landscape of one desert was "reflected" in another, becoming its organic complement. The project of the photographer Daniel Kukla has been published by such major international publications as the New York Times, The Washington Post, National Geographic and others.

Looking at these photographs, the legendary lines of Nikolsky immediately pop up in my head, saying that "The light of distant stars and the beginning of dawn, Life is the secrets and secrets of love, A moment of inspiration warmed by the sun" - everything is reflected in the mirror of the world!
