In the village of Maslovka near Voronezh there is a training ground for dogs. There they are taught not only to follow commands, but also not to react to external stimuli. After all, a service dog, in order to clearly perform the assigned tasks, must remain calm in any situation. But on this training ground, the dogs have a very difficult time, because their provocateur is the cat Tobik, whose official occupation is to infuriate the dogs.
Alexey Latynkin has been working as a dog handler for many years. During this time he did not have any wards: both small friendly dogs, and dogs of dangerous fighting breeds, which constantly rushed at him, testing his strength.
Alexey knows that the main thing in training is to teach the dog not to react to external stimuli and to clearly follow the owner's commands. For this, the dog handler puts his pupils to the test with a cat.
A cat named Tobik often walks along the training ground. From the outside, it seems that fierce dogs, ready to tear the fluffy to shreds, are not at all interested in him. Tobik grew up in a canine environment, so he studied all of their habits.
At first, Alexei Latynkin could easily do without a cat, since he had three dogs, but then mice started to live in the house. The man found Tobik near a grocery store. When he brought the kitten home, the dogs simply sniffed at the new tenant, but did not express any displeasure.
Over time, Tobik began to feel like a full-fledged member of the family. Once, when the owner locked the guilty dog in a cage, the cat snuck up to him and lay down next to him, probably out of solidarity.
Once, Alexei Latynkin came up with the idea to take Tobik with him to the training ground. At first, the dogs were simply taken aback when they saw the cat brazenly walking around the site. For all the time that Tobik has been working as a "provocateur", he has never been caught. He studied dog habits so well, and he has a lot of escape routes in case of an attack. It also happened that the cat did not run away, but could simply grab the dog's nose.
As a rule, cats and dogs don't get along very well, but there are exceptions to the rule. A kitten named Rosie was raised by three husky dogs, and now she feels like one of them.
