The head and creator of the Derevo theater, Russian director Anton Adasinsky, made a statement that he was terminating cooperation with the Moscow Art Theater. I came to this decision after I saw TV presenter Olga Buzova in one of the roles of my play "The Wonderful Georgian". Adasinsky published an open letter on his page on the social network in Vkontakte.
The media cite quotes from his address: “I cannot afford the“Children's Musical Theater”by Marina Landa to be in the same news feed with the names of porn actresses, as well as with the name of the executioner Stalin, in whose dungeons the lives of five members of my families.
Adasinsky stressed that he very much hopes that this "obscurantism will end", and the audience will have the opportunity to return to the hall and see the action for which the theater was originally built.
Recall that Buzova herself stated that the Makhvt performance with her participation is the main premiere of the year and the main achievement in her life. "The dream of a 16-year-old girl has come true," said the TV presenter. In the play, the TV presenter played the role of the cabaret singer Bella Chantal. As the artistic director of the theater Eduard Boyakov explained, the performance needed “the image of a person who belongs to mass culture, in fact, beginning to dictate the media agenda, gaining incredible power.”

50 years ago, the premiere of Leonid Gaidai's film "Prisoner of the Caucasus" took place. Everyone knows its plot by heart, and the phrases of the heroes have long become aphorisms. But most viewers do not even suspect that the film was banned from showing in 1967, and only thanks to a lucky chance it was seen by 80 million citizens of the USSR.
