The performer of the role of Feride from the TV series based on the book by Reshat Nuri Gyuntekin was literally ready to be worn by the fans. Unsuccessful marriage

The great-grandfather of the future actress on her father's side was a Muslim, lived in Kazan, but emigrated to Turkey with his family and many of his fellow citizens who refused to be baptized. The parents of Aidan, who was born on the first day of spring 1963 in Kilis, after a very short time moved to Bursa, where the girl grew up. Her father was a musicologist, her mother was engaged exclusively in housekeeping, and Aidan herself, barely leaving school, decided to try herself in the modeling business.

She won the title of the first beauty of Turkey, and in the world competition in 1981 she lost first place to Pilin Leon from Venezuela. Upon her return to her homeland, Aydan Shener became in great demand as a model, began to appear in commercials, and soon received an offer to star in series on Turkish television. She managed to work in several projects and got a role that brought the beauty to world fame. The series "Kinglet - a songbird" played a significant role in the fate of the actress. She later starred in many films and TV series, but none of them was as successful as the film adaptation of the novel by Turkish writer Nuri Güntekin.

Family or freedom

Aydan Shener got married at the age of 20, and Ayhan Akbin, a famous football player in Turkey who played for the national team, became her chosen one. In 1988, the couple had a daughter, Edge, but the family life of two celebrities did not work out.

Ayhan married Aydan at a time when she had already won the Miss Turkey title. He could not even imagine that after the marriage his wife would continue her path to fame, and after that she would become famous all over the world thanks to the role of Feride. Ayhan was desperately jealous of his beautiful wife, he went crazy with the mere thought that his wife was admired by thousands and even millions of men. And once he made Aidan a gift, presenting her … a burqa.

The actress was amazed to the core. She was surprised and even offended by her husband, who intended to pack her in a burqa, hiding her from prying eyes, like some kind of house builder. Of course, Aidan Shener was a Muslim, she believed in the Almighty, but did not understand why she should wear a scarf without removing it, or hide under layers of fabric, as if she did not live in the 20th century at all. The couple were never able to reach a compromise on this issue and broke up as soon as their daughter was three years old.

After such an unfortunate experience of family life, the actress no longer began to tie the knot. Apparently, fearing another outbursts of jealousy and attempts to dress her in a veil. She learned to enjoy complete freedom and not be bored alone. However, she just didn't have enough time for boredom. Little Edge demanded constant attention from her mother, and the directors simply bombarded the actress with job offers.

Happy loneliness

Aydan Shener turned 58 on March 1, 2021, she still gladly responds to invitations to act in films or take part in television shows. There is no man next to her, but this does not mean at all that the actress is lonely. Aidan has many friends, but she still calls her daughter her best friend. Edge is already 33 years old, she received two higher educations, one of them as a dramatic actress. In her youth, she starred in several TV series, but later decided to master design and architecture.

Aidan Shener confesses: her daughter is much more reminiscent of her character Feride from the movie "Kinglet - a songbird" than herself. Edge managed to preserve her youthful idealism, and from her mother she inherited the desire for inner freedom and, of course, beauty.

The actress, on the other hand, devotes most of her time to charity. For many years she has been actively involved in animal welfare projects. In Aidan's country house, more than two dozen cats are constantly next to her, and even four dogs. This is not counting those that Aidan periodically takes for overexposure, until the four-legged friends find a new home. The actress is not at all annoyed by the dirty marks on the carpets, or the wool that periodically appears on all surfaces. Aidan calls the pets his children and does not disregard them.

And the actress actively maintains her page on the social network, where she constantly posts new photos. When the haters appeal to the conscience of the actress and note that it is not appropriate to exhibit their photos in a swimsuit at this age, Aidan Shener retorts: she takes such photos every year and does not intend to change this rule for the sake of someone's prejudices. Moreover, the figure of the actress is still as good as in her youth.

A quarter of a century after the release of the TV series "Kinglet - Singing Bird", Turkish filmmakers managed to surprise viewers all over the world once again, this time with the series "Magnificent Century", which was successfully shown in 50 countries. Actors who played the main roles became known all over the world, which, it would seem, should have become a powerful impetus in their further film career.
