Pregnant women sometimes blame their other half for not understanding their plight. However, the modern world finds a solution even for this situation - it may be non-trivial and far from our understanding, but quite effective. Two women from Los Angeles, who have been living together for several years, decided to become mothers at the same time. They succeeded, and now there are two mothers and two babies in a same-sex family, who have one biological father. Interestingly, there is exactly the same happy couple in New Zealand.

Karina Rincon and Kelly Meza studied in the same class in Venezuela, then both emigrated to America, both tried to start families and became disillusioned with men. When the former classmates met, it turned out that they did not need a stronger sex for complete and comprehensive happiness. Having eliminated this extra element from their lives, two American women legalized their relationship in 2017, and having created a strong "social unit" they thought about procreation, because both were already a little over thirty.

For obvious reasons, the natural route was unacceptable for women, and it turned out to be expensive to go to the clinic for IVF. Then the resourceful couple decided to do everything themselves - both were biomedical engineers by profession. According to them, they got by with home fertilization kits (which you can't buy just now!) And donor "genetic material" that they could find on the Internet. Since the chances of a positive result in such "artisanal" conditions were small, Karina and Kelly decided to do the procedure together. According to experts, the opportunity to become pregnant with a "duet" under such conditions is minimal - much lower than the likelihood of winning the lottery on a big scale, but women were lucky.

The happy same-sex family experienced unusual feelings for all nine months., - admitted one of them. The ladies were worried that they would give birth at the same time and would not be able to support each other, but the babies were born three days apart. Now two mothers are raising their son Leo and daughter Sophie, who are called "almost twins" - in fact, the kids are really brother and sister, because they have one biological father.

Despite the fact that such a case can be considered very rare, recently a similar message appeared on the network about a couple from the city of Auckland, New Zealand. Kat Buchanan and Taryn Cumming also got pregnant at the same time from the same donor. The women found him through Facebook, as it took a long time to queue at the clinic, and now both are waiting for the addition to the family.

I would like to note that for gay families in such a situation, it will not be possible to get by with “home recruitment” and a donor from the social network - a surrogate mother is needed. For example, Sir Elton John and his husband David Furnish are raising two sons, born to the same woman. The famous singer told reporters that before the fertilization procedure, the genetic material was mixed, so they do not know who exactly became the biological father, and this is not important in principle, because children are a great joy. The pop star really proved to be a very caring dad. Immediately after the birth, which took place in California, the babies were taken to England, and the surrogate mother then sent the breast milk by air mail so that happy fathers could enjoy all the delights of motherhood - modern problems require modern solutions.

The question of why the stronger and the weaker sex sometimes decide to do without each other is very difficult. Sometimes this mutual denial can go to extremes. For example, in Brazil there is a town in which only women live.
