There are no trifles for the Chinese. To solve every, even the smallest problem, they are ready to organize nationwide campaigns to turn this problem into dignity by solving it as efficiently as possible. Thanks to this national trait, a new sculpture appeared on one of the streets of Shanghai - broken treemade from old chopsticks.
China is known to be the most populous country in the world. And, in addition to many other problems associated with overpopulation, it turns out that there is also a very unusual, as for our understanding, problem of used chopsticks, because, as scientists from the Middle Kingdom calculated, about a hundred trees are cut down in China every day just to make of these, these are specific oriental cutlery. One hundred trees daily. Is it a lot or a little? In China, they considered that a lot. This is why the China Environmental Protection Foundation has launched a campaign to reduce this figure, including the installation of a five-meter tree on the street in Shanghai, made from 30,000 used chopsticks. (before that, they were sterilized and additionally cleaned of food residues and soy sauce). Moreover, this tree, as conceived by the authors, is broken and lies right on the sidewalk.
Thus, the organizers of the environmental campaign clearly show where the thoughtless use of natural resources leads. The China Environmental Protection Foundation is urging Chinese people to switch to reusable chopsticks. Indeed, even in this vast country, natural resources are not endless! Well, the artist Steven Backman, who creates sculptures from toothpicks, is unlikely to be concerned about preserving the natural resources of his country and sees a problem in the thoughtless use of disposable toothpicks. He's just creative!

The pioneer in this area was the Soviet Union, which in 1936 created an experimental aircraft capable of "dissolving" in the sky

How Christmas tree decorations can be used to trace the stages of the history of the Soviet Union
The change of ideologies that periodically occurs in our country is always reflected not only in high art - painting, literature, music, but also leaves an imprint on ordinary household items. Christmas decorations are also no exception. After 1917, angels, stars of Bethlehem and bells were hung on the trees for some time, but this did not last long
5 abandoned ghost islands where people used to live
Abandoned cities have become so popular lately that sometimes there may be too many tourists there to really feel the desolation and remoteness of the city. A completely different story with the abandoned islands, where there were once settlements, now there is not a living soul left. It is much more difficult to get to the islands, and therefore the feeling of abandonment is felt there in a special way
