March 13 marks the 69th anniversary of the famous theater and film actress, People's Artist of Russia Irina Alferova. The audience admired her, but her colleagues disliked her - in the Lenkom theater she was called an ice beauty because she always kept aloof and behaved, as many thought, cold and arrogant. But in fact, this detachment had completely different reasons, which the actress usually does not talk about in interviews …
Irina Alferova almost never talks about her family and marriages - this topic is too personal for her. But those who know her intimately understand why she has become so closed. Even in childhood, she had to go through many dramatic events that could not but leave an imprint on her character. Irina was born and raised in Novosibirsk. Her parents met at law school, where they entered after they went through the war. Soon, my father got a job in the state security organs. In 1950 they had a daughter, Tatiana, and a year later, Irina. At first, the sisters grew up without needing anything. But then troubles began to hit their family one after another.
One day, my father's uncle was passing through Novosibirsk and stopped with them to spend the night. And the next day, my father was summoned to the legal department of the KGB and accused of harboring an enemy of the people. In 1937, his mother's brother was convicted of treason, after that he fought and, as Irina's father believed, atoned for his guilt. But his leadership did not think so. My father had to write a letter of resignation, after which he was transferred to the criminal investigation department. One day he was run over by a train and lost both legs. After that, he had to quit his job and he broke down. Irina's father started drinking, and family life turned into a nightmare.
Because of these events, Irina became more and more withdrawn in herself, and classes in the school amateur circle became for her salvation from the surrounding reality. It seemed that the “Press Prize” received at the “Miss Integral-1968” beauty contest should have added self-confidence, but only on stage did she temporarily forget about her own problems and felt happy. Therefore, after school, she went to the capital to enroll in a theater university. Alferova called the decision to leave for Moscow later the most daring act in her life.
From the very first attempt she managed to enter GITIS. At the institute, she avoided student gatherings and close communication with classmates and already then earned a reputation as an unsociable ice beauty. However, the seeming arrogance was actually hiding a quiet complexion and a "provincial syndrome." Because of her closeness and isolation, teachers even advised her to think about choosing another profession.
Alferova from her youth had no end to fans, but she rejected their courtship. Until I met the son of a Bulgarian diplomat, MGIMO student Boyko Gyurov. Many envied her when she got married and left with her husband for Bulgaria. But in fact, her life there could hardly be called happy. Boyko's relatives did not accept her, and when Irina began to appear in the television series "Walking in Torment" and often began to leave home, she was accused of leaving her husband and their daughter Ksenia for filming. This marriage soon broke up, and Irina and her daughter returned to Moscow.
For some time she was unemployed and lived with friends. When Mark Zakharov agreed to accept her into the troupe of the Lenkom theater, it seemed to her a real salvation. But joy soon gave way to disappointment - the director gave Alferova only roles in the crowd. The actress could hardly make ends meet, and then her colleague in the theater, the star of Lenkom, Alexander Abdulov, came to her aid. He procured a room for her in the acting dorm, a year later she became his wife, and soon the couple had their own apartment.
Happiness seemed to smile at her at last. She and her husband loved each other very much, Irina's daughter Ksenia Abdulov took as his own, but this happiness was not cloudless. Conflicts happened because of the irrepressible temperament of the spouse, and because of his frequent and noisy gatherings with friends, and because of disagreements in creativity. Abdulov was the main contender for the role of D'Artanyan in The Three Musketeers, but the director Georgy Yungvald-Khilkevich eventually opted for Mikhail Boyarsky. Abdulov expected that his wife, whom he himself brought to screen tests for the role of Constance, would leave behind him out of solidarity. But she could not refuse this work, because at that time her only starring role was only Dasha in "Walking Through the Torment". And her husband took her participation in the filming as a betrayal.
Meanwhile, the role that turned Alferova into one of the most popular and beloved Soviet actresses among the people was not easy for her. The director saw in the image of Constance only Evgenia Simonova, but the State Film Agency insisted on Alferova's candidacy, and Yungvald-Khilkevich simply ignored her on the set. They did not rehearse with her, she played almost all her scenes alone, with an empty chair instead of a partner. The actress did not participate in frequent feasts, which only further annoyed her colleagues, who considered her arrogant and arrogant. And for her, these gatherings were a reminder of what she saw as a child. Years later, Alferova told: "".
Abdulov could hardly be called a faithful husband, but he allowed himself what he did not allow his wife. She never gave him reasons for jealousy, but when he heard rumors that her relationship with the singer Alexander Serov on the set of his video for the song "You Love Me" went beyond professional, he believed them. Offended by mistrust, Alferova did not make excuses and offered to leave. Without dotting the "i" s, the most beautiful pair of Soviet cinema broke up.
Her professional life was also not very successful. For 14 years, Irina Alferova remained in the Lenkom Theater in secondary roles. Her mother said: "" She also acted a little in films - most directors saw in her only a spectacular appearance and did not give an opportunity to reveal her creative potential. Alferova herself refused some roles - she categorically did not want to play notorious villains, she believed that with each such role, she would let in a part of this negativity.
But the actress herself did not complain about fate and often repeated: . In the early 1990s. she finally decided to leave Lenkom for the new theater, School of Contemporary Play, where she was offered the roles she deserved. Here she became a truly demanded and realized actress.
Years later, she really did finally get lucky. For many years Irina was constantly engaged in self-criticism and self-digging, believing that "". She was able to gain self-confidence and spiritual harmony only in her third marriage with actor and director Sergei Martynov, with whom she is happy to this day.
