Ballet has always been a special art. Graceful fragile girls in snow-white tutus seemed unearthly creatures. The men held their breath as they watched the adorable fairies. The mighty of this world in this case were no exception, one has only to recall the novel of Tsarevich Nicholas and Matilda Kshesinskaya. However, even after the revolution, high-ranking Soviet officials often showed their sympathy for ballerinas.
Joseph Stalin
Ballerina Olga Lepeshinskaya first appeared on the stage of the Bolshoi Theater at the age of 17. And almost immediately there were rumors about the young ballerina's romance with Joseph Stalin. The leader tried not to miss a single performance with Lepeshinskaya's participation, and he watched "The Flame of Paris" 17 times.
At the same time, Olga was constantly invited to dance in the Kremlin, her talent was celebrated with high titles and awards. Stalin really treated the ballerina warmly, but it would be wrong to talk about the romance between him and Olga Lepeshinskaya. He was a fan of her, but no one could ever say for certain about any relationship between the leader and the talented ballet actress. All the stories about Stalin taking Lepeshinskaya home after the performance and staying until morning have never been confirmed by anyone.
Olga Lepeshinskaya never spoke about her affair with the leader, but did not hide that she treated him with respect.

Mikhail Kalinin
Many people knew about the love of the "All-Union headman" for the young ballerinas from the Bolshoi Theater. Assigned to control the quality of the theater performances, Mikhail Kalinin did not miss the opportunity to flirt with young unearthly creatures. Those who liked them especially could be invited to the office of a high chief.
There was a completely outrageous case in history, with which the name of Kalinin was associated. There is no documentary confirmation of this, but the CEC chairman is still considered involved in the disappearance and death of 16-year-old ballerina Bella Uvarova. A pretty girl dared to refuse a loving official, for which she paid with her life. Some admitted that rumors about this case were spread deliberately, so that other stubborn young ladies and thoughts would not allow Kalinin to refuse.
However, there were also those who openly expressed hostility to the intrusive party member. It is known for certain that the famous ballerina Yekaterina Geltser, in an emotional outburst, threw a figurine of Mephistopheles at Kalinin.

Abel Yenukidze
Along with the "All-Union Headman", Abel Yenukidze also supervised the work of the Bolshoi and the Artistic Theaters. When Yenukidze was arrested, during the trial he was accused not only of espionage, but also of sexual harassment.
Abel Yenukidze never considered it necessary to limit his voluptuous nature and repeatedly "relaxed" in the arms of young ballerinas and artists. During the trial, Yenukidze's actions on corrupting minors, in particular, girls of 9-11 years old, were also revealed.

Prima ballerina of the Mariinsky Theater Olga Spesivtseva was talented and surprisingly beautiful. They loved her, they dedicated poems to her. Her husband was Boris Kaplun, the manager of the affairs of the Petrograd Soviet. Later, their history of relationship will be reflected in the ballet "Red Giselle", staged by Boris Eifman.
In 1924, it was Boris Kaplun who helped his wife emigrate from the USSR, justifying the departure of the great ballerina with the need for treatment in Italy after suffering tuberculosis. She never returned to the Soviet Union, but Boris Kaplun visited her in the 1930s in Paris. However, the ballerina treated her husband with great apprehension, believing that he could kill her.

Anatoly Lunacharsky
The French historian Rene Bouvet accused the People's Commissar of Education almost of organizing large-scale orgies with the participation of ballerinas. However, except in the writings of Bouvet, there is no mention of indecent parties anywhere. But Lunacharsky also had an affair with ballet.
His beloved was the 16-year-old ballerina of the Bolshoi Theater, Nadezhda Nadezhdina, who gave birth to a daughter, Galina, from the People's Commissar in 1924. Subsequently, Nadezhda Nadezhdina became an outstanding choreographer, teacher and creator of the famous choreographic ensemble "Birch".
Galina Brezhneva
She was only the daughter of the Secretary-General and never held a leadership position. However, her romance with the famous Maris Liepa lasted for five whole years. Perhaps a talented dancer could have influenced the life of his influential lover, but he did not want to leave his family. He never fulfilled his promise to marry Galina Brezhneva.
She loved him ardently and passionately, fulfilled all the whims of her lover and believed: soon they would be together. Maris Liepa did not tell Galina Brezhneva about the end of their relationship, but showed her his meeting with his wife. He himself invited Galina to the airport and left in front of her, hugging his lawful wife Margarita Zhigunova.
