Elena Molchenko was born and raised in Minsk. She dreamed of an acting profession since childhood, so after graduating from school she entered the Minsk Theater Institute, and a year later she recovered to conquer Moscow. She remembered the entrance exams at GITIS for the rest of her life, but not because they were associated with the difficulties of admission - she was accepted on the first try. But between the rounds of the exams, events took place that were a real shock for her: a guy in love with a girl kidnapped her right in the center of Moscow and used force as methods of persuading him to marry him, because of which both ended up in the police. And after that, during the exam, Elena had to hide the marks from the beatings under a scarf. She no longer communicated with her failed fiancé, and later found out that he was imprisoned - but not for his original way of conquering women, but for blackmailing.

At the institute, Elena met Anatoly Lobotsky, who was her classmate and dorm roommate. He was 4 years older, had already studied at the Institute of Culture, and was also married, but at the same time had a reputation as a womanizer, so Elena at first did not take his signs of attention seriously. She later told about the beginning of their relationship: "".

Because of feelings for Molchenko, the actor decided to divorce, and they began to live together. After graduating from the institute, they both entered the troupe of the Theater. V. Mayakovsky, where Natalia Gundareva was the prima ballerina. Together with Lobotsky, they were engaged in the same performance, and during rehearsals, sympathy arose between them. Elena had noticed before that marital status had no effect on the behavior of her common-law husband - he always liked to be in the center of female attention and did not even hide his adventures from his wife.

According to Elena, Natalya Gundareva immediately disliked her, and, showing signs of attention to her husband, she openly ignored the actress herself. Their joint rehearsals with Lobotsky were increasingly delayed until late, and then he did not begin to return home at all until morning. Elena recalled an incident that happened when one day, after a rehearsal, the actors were going to go to Gundareva for a "continuation of the banquet." At first, the prima did not seem to notice Molchenko standing behind them, and then suddenly she went up to her and muttered through her teeth: ""

After that, Elena Molchenko realized that their union was doomed - Lobotsky was incorrigible. He said one phrase to all women: "". Each hoped that it was her that he would love more than the previous one, and each was deceived. At the most difficult moment for Elena in her life, a man appeared who helped her make the right decision. It was her colleague, the star of the Theater. V. Mayakovsky Alexander Fatyushin.

Everyone in the theater knew that before that Fatyushin had a long affair with a married actress, and he simply did not notice other women. With Elena Molchenko, they were busy in the same performance, began to communicate in a friendly manner, sometimes he called her. And one day he suddenly came and made an offer! At that time, the actress was still in a civil marriage with Lobotsky, but realized that the time had come for a change. After some time, the actress moved to Fatyushin. In 1986 they got married.

Many colleagues accused Elena of self-interest - they say, a provincial woman, yesterday's student, was tempted by a Moscow residence permit, material wealth and protection of the honored artist of the RSFSR, movie star Fatyushin. At that time, the 35-year-old actor was really at the peak of popularity - 7 years before their wedding with Molchenko, the film "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears" was released, and the role of hockey player Gurin brought the actor all-Union fame. But at the level of his material well-being, this did not affect in any way, he lived in a small one-room apartment, where all the wealth was a wall, a reel-to-reel tape recorder and a single velvet suit. In the theater, he never gave his wife patronage and did not bother for her when assigning roles.

The whole theater was walking at their wedding, but Gundareva did not want to come. She was nevertheless persuaded, and during the celebration she made a strange toast: "". Later, Molchenko learned that she had crossed the road here too. Everyone knew that Gundareva and Fatyushin had a long-term friendship, she took care of the actor and took care of him almost like a mother when they traveled around the country to creative meetings. Gundareva perceived the marriage of a friend with Molchenko as a personal loss - it seemed to her that because of this, their relationship would deteriorate. There were rumors in the theater about their possible romance in the past, they themselves denied it, and Elena said that they "had more than an affair" - they were really very close spiritually, so Gundareva reacted very jealously to the marriage of a friend.

The doctor who treated his heart categorically forbade him to drink. Elena insisted that he undergo a rehabilitation course, but even after that he sometimes allowed himself to drink too much. In addition, Fatyushin turned out to be a pathological jealous person and often made scandals for his wife. The last years of Fatyushin's life became the most difficult: he was greatly troubled by his heart, in the 1990s. work almost disappeared, and Elena was fired from the theater because she missed rehearsals, running with her husband to hospitals.
