You won't surprise anyone with beauty contests today. Every day, thousands of fashionistas around the world parade on the catwalk, competing in the eternal triad 90-60-90. But in the Chinese city of Fuzhou, they decided to break the stereotypes and make the contestants … decorative goldfish … Three thousand beautiful “wish-makers” from 14 countries of the world competed for the first time in beauty on International Goldfish Championship.
The judges evaluated the silent participants on six main parameters: weight, length, color, shape, grace and manner of swimming. All the contestants were placed in special white bowls, the jury members approached each fish in turn, measuring the necessary indicators. There were 12 nominations in total, including "the heaviest fish", "the longest fish" and others. The winner of the competition was a goldfish weighing 3, 9 kg, which conquered the judges by the fact that, despite its gigantic size, it swam very skillfully.
It is no coincidence that the competition was held in this country, because China is famous for the fact that the descendant of the goldfish, the goldfish, was domesticated here. For centuries, the Chinese have been breeding goldfish, which is a lucrative business for many. When preparing the contestants, the breeders carefully monitored their nutrition, water temperature and PH level in the aquarium, so that the fish were absolutely healthy and appeared before the judges in all their glory.
By the way, Japan is also not indifferent to these unusual fish. Not so long ago, on our website Kulturologiya.ru, we wrote about the Goldfish phone boot aquariums art project, during which the Kingyobu team managed to turn pay phones into huge aquariums with goldfish.
