Vasya is 62 years old, he is a native Muscovite with higher education. He drew plots for paintings from the life of hopelessly drunken people in the villages and small towns of the Moscow region. The first works in the series were painted at the end of perestroika, when it was fashionable to blame the System for all the troubles. But painting in the genre of social dystopia for more than two decades (not at all the same as in the dystopian visions of Greg Brotherton), the artist moved away from political slogans. After all, as Professor Preobrazhensky said from Bulgakov's immortal novel - "Devastation begins in the minds."
Let's leave the unsightly picture at the discretion of the artist, because the reasons for the uncompromising negativity in the artist's work are not known.
