People meet, fall in love, get married. In most cases, children appear in the family after the wedding. And if maternal love is undeniable, then paternal feelings are often very controversial. Photographer Phillip Toledano even created an original photo report with candid comments on how he became a good father.
1. I was in the hospital and could see with my own eyes how little Lulu was born. Contrary to the opinion of psychologists, this fact did not add a single drop of paternal love to me. Moreover, the moment of childbirth scared me rather than terminated me.
2. After that, the people around started vying with each other to wonder if I liked being a father. Hearing a negative answer, many grimaced with displeasure.
3. What worried me was that from the moment Lulu was born, my wife Karla had simply disappeared. I really missed those moments when we were alone with her.
4. Now my place was taken by this alien, who took away not only my wife, but also a restful sleep over the next 3 years.
5. Moreover, Lulu's behavior was sometimes simply unimaginable and resembled shots from documentaries about wildlife. The first time my daughter sneezed, I was happy. At least something human appeared in her.
6. Even our dog did not show proper interest in little Lulu.
7. Why is she crying? She's wet? Want to eat? Does she hurt something? Dealing with a newborn daughter was like handling explosives.
8. I made plates decorated with pictures of Lulu. The wife did not appreciate it.
9. When my daughter is 20, I will be 60 years old. Will we be friends? Thousands of questions were spinning in my head.
10. Oddly enough, but over time I turned into an ordinary average father, who first of all in a conversation took out his Iphone with the words: "You may not like children, but my daughter is special."
In the end, I would like to apologize to Karla and Lulu, who will read this article someday. Despite the fact that the appearance of my daughter at first caused a storm of bewilderment and protest in me, in the end, I loved her with all my heart. This is confirmed by my photos, in which every year more and more love and tenderness for Lulu can be traced.
