Igor Dmitriev, a stunning actor in his creative personality, enjoyed amazing success. Fans accompanied him home, presented gifts, hoped that he would pay attention to them. But the actor was faithful all his life to his wife Larisa, whom he had known since childhood.
Inseparable friends
Igor Dmitriev, a true descendant of aristocrats, grew up in a creative environment thanks to his mother, a rather successful ballerina. She took part not only in theatrical, but also in circus performances, and later worked as a teacher at a choreographic school.
Mother's friends often visited the Dmitrievs' house, hotly and enthusiastically discussing theatrical news. And little Igor, who listened to stories about the stage for a long time, imagined himself an actor. Naturally, he began to participate in amateur performances from the first grade, studied under the direction of Isaac Dunaevsky in the Song and Dance Ensemble of the Palace of Pioneers.
It is difficult to say when Igor and Larisa met. They just grew up together, played in yards near the Griboyedov Canal, where they lived. Then we went to first grade together, often visited each other, almost always returned from school together.
At the same time, there was no childish love between them, they were just friends. Of course, they were traditionally teased by their peers, constantly shouting in the back: "Tili-tili-dough, bride and groom." Then Igor and Larisa acted as a united front, trying to catch up and slightly beat the most persistent bully. But more often they simply did not pay attention to such attacks, their friendship was real, and it was not worth spending energy on all sorts of little things.
Perhaps they would have continued to be friends all their lives if the war had not scattered them. Larisa and Igor went to the evacuation, each with his family. They might never meet each other again.
Theater like first love
The Dmitrievs left for the Perm region. Igor began his acting career there. Even before that, he had great respect for the profession of an actor. But during the evacuation, when he performed a lot and often at the Rivermen's Club in the village of Nizhnyaya Kurya, a real love for the theater came, which the actor would then carry through his whole life.
Together with other amateur actors, he actively participated in the preparation of concerts for wounded soldiers. Igor sang and recited poetry, danced and recited whole passages from classical works.
When 16-year-old Igor Dmitriev found out about the opening of a theater studio at the Perm Theater, he immediately went to audition. In the literal sense of the word, I went: on foot, 50 kilometers away. By this time, his passion for theater had already formed into a desire to become an actor. He was enrolled in the studio for reading the role of Nina from Lermontov's "Masquerade". Surprisingly, in the role of Arbenin, he did not impress the strict selection committee.
New meeting with friend Larisa
After the end of the war, the actor went to enter the theater. Moreover, the lack of a certificate did not bother him at all. He just came to the Aviation Institute, where a fire broke out shortly, and played inconsolable grief over the loss of his secondary education document. He was given a duplicate, and he handed over the documents to several theatrical universities at once. Igor Dmitriev passed through the competition at the Maly Theater and at GITIS, but finally decided to try himself at the Moscow Art Theater School. It was here that he received his acting education.
At the same time, Larissa, who entered the polygraphic faculty, ended up in Moscow. They somehow found each other. And renewed their friendship. Neither he nor she, even at that time, had not yet thought about the possibility of any other relationship.

A few years after the war, Igor and Larisa had the opportunity to relax together in Dagomys. The warm sea, gentle sun and the romance of southern nights simply contributed to the emergence of a romantic note in their friendship. There, in the south, Igor Dmitriev began to look at his girlfriend with completely different eyes. Probably, something similar was happening in Larisa's soul.
Another walk along the embankment ended with an unusual bet. Igor, having seen a shooting gallery not far away, suggested to Larissa to shoot. She jokingly asked what her marksmanship prize would be. Igor promised to marry her for ten out of ten. Larisa never missed, and Igor, of course, had to keep his word and go with his friend to the registry office. Probably, at that moment, each of them realized that childhood friendship had grown into true love.
Together forever
After that very playful bet, they became inseparable. After graduating from the Moscow Art Theater School, Igor Dmitriev returned to his native Leningrad, went to work at the Komissarzhevskaya Theater, and began acting in films. Larisa eventually changed her qualifications and began to work as an editor at Lenfilm. Soon, Alexey, their only son, was born to Igor and Larisa.
The popularity of the actor Igor Dmitriev was constantly growing. Often his fans were on duty at the theater, some even escorted him home. But there was never a hint of any of his novels. He loved his Larissa very much, treated her with respect as a person.
Larisa answered her husband with sincere love and care. When, due to an accidental scandal, Igor Borisovich left the theater for almost 15 years, she became that lifeline that did not let him go to the bottom.
Vulnerable, creative, sensitive Igor Dmitriev suddenly found himself without a stage. He acted in films, but was deprived of his main hobby, his vocation - theater. The inability to step onto the stage again and again oppressed the actor, driving him into the grip of depression. But Larissa invariably pulled him out, not letting him feel unnecessary. She brought home scripts and literary novelties in huge quantities, asking for advice, asking for help. Every time she made it clear how necessary his talent, his professionalism, his opinion.
Perhaps that is why the loss of his wife was so acute for Igor Borisovich. She passed away in the late 90s. The actor, who outlived his wife for 10 years, could not come to terms with the loss. Shortly before his own departure, he regretted only one thing, that he could not tell his Larissa how grateful he was to her. His pain and anguish did not diminish. He continued to love her even after ten years of eternal separation.
Igor Dmitriev has starred in many films. One of his comedic roles is Count Frederico in the picture "Dog in the manger". Real stars took part in the filming, so many difficulties arose.
