Each artist has his own approach to creating images, each has his own methods, his own style. For example, an artist from Hong Kong Paul Lung tries to draw various animals as realistically as possible, so that the viewer seems to be a photograph and not a pencil drawing. But the Dutchman Rop van Mierloon the contrary, makes deliberately rude, but no less beautiful watercolor drawings wild animals.

Recently, one of the Dutch publishers published the book "Wilde Dieren" ("Wild Animals") by the artist Rop van Mierloh. There is practically no text in this book, only a table of contents and initial data. Everything else is illustrations created by its author.

These illustrations depict fourteen animals of varying degrees of savagery: from a donkey and a squirrel to a snake and a tiger. It would seem nothing interesting. But this would be so, if we do not take into account the unusual creative manner of Rop van Mierloh.

Looking at how he draws, it may seem to the audience that he is doing it completely casually, thinking little about the final result. But this is only the first impression of the artist's work. Indeed, in fact, his every movement is perfectly perfected, verified. Rop van Mierloe knows very well what result and in what way he wants to achieve.

And he does it. At first glance, his pictures may seem like ordinary stains of watercolor paint. But, if you look closely, you can see on each of them a perfectly drawn, very pretty and cute animal. And this is perceived as a real miracle, given the style of Ropa van Mierloh!
