February 8 marks the 70th anniversary of the famous actress, the favorite of millions of viewers, Irina Muravyova. She has more than 80 film roles, many of which have become legendary. For several decades, she has been one of the most popular actresses. Unlike many stars of Soviet cinema, her fame did not fade even at the beginning of the 21st century. But she herself believes that she has few reasons for pride, especially among the works that made her famous, does not like increased attention to herself and does not appreciate modern cinema.

The future screen star was born in 1949 in the family of a military engineer. Her father immediately after leaving school volunteered for the front, reached Germany, where he freed a Belarusian girl from captivity, and soon they got married. A year and a half later, Irina was born to them. She was brought up in strictness - she could not even dream of dating and dancing, she even went to the skating rink only accompanied by her mother. Until the 10th grade, Irina played with dolls.

For many years, no one believed in her acting talent - none of the capital's theater universities accepted her the first time, and work was found only in the studio at the Children's Theater, on the stage of which she performed for 7 years. But her personal life, in contrast to her creative one, was much more successful: in 1973, Muravyova married director Leonid Eidlin and gave birth to two sons, which she always considered the greatest happiness in her life. The family stood for her in the first place both when no one knew her yet, and in those days when all-Union glory came to her. It is interesting that all members of this amazing family were born in the same month: on February 2 - the husband, on the 6th - the youngest son, on the 8th - Irina herself, on the 15th - the eldest son.

Many viewers still associate Irina Muravyova with Lyudmila from the movie "Moscow Does Not Believe in Tears", which upsets the actress very much - she considers her heroine "a rude and vulgar woman", her complete opposite. She said more than once that Zhanna Bolotova and Anastasia Vertinskaya acted wiser than her, refusing this role. During the dubbing of the film, Muravyova was very upset when she saw herself on the screen: “. But, despite not being dissatisfied with her work, the actress always recognized the fact that it was this role that brought her nationwide love and was very grateful for this to director Vladimir Menshov.

Another heroine with whom viewers often identified Irina Muravyova was Nina Solomatina from Carnival. Without doubting that it was this actress who would be able to create an eccentric image, director Tatyana Lioznova approved Muravyova for the main role without samples. However, the actress was again surprised that she had to play such a heroine: "". Nevertheless, "Karnaval" became the leader of the film distribution, and Muravyova was recognized as the best actress of the year according to the poll of readers of the magazine "Soviet Screen".

She continues to receive offers from directors to this day, but she is extremely selective about them and rarely agrees to shoot. Basically, these are films-performances - the theater has always remained in the first place for her. The last of them - "Eight Loving Women" - was released in 2016.
