March 5 marks the 58th anniversary of the famous theater and film actress, People's Artist of Russia Elena Yakovleva. She has more than 100 roles on her account, some of which, according to the forecasts of film critics, could cost her a career. But her entire creative biography is a confirmation that sometimes it is worth taking risks, even if because of this the audience begins to forget her real name …

Elena Yakovleva's parents were not associated with the world of cinema - her mother worked at a research institute, and her father was a military man, which is why the family often moved from place to place. Before getting to the capital, Yakovleva traveled all over the country. After graduation, she got a job as a picker at an electrical equipment plant in Kharkov, where they then lived. But since childhood, she dreamed of becoming an artist, and she saved the money received at the plant in order to go to Moscow and enter a theater university. And in GITIS she was accepted from the first attempt.

After graduation, she entered the troupe of the Sovremennik Theater, and at the age of 22 she began acting in films. From the very first roles, the actress attracted the attention of directors. Films "Plumbum, or Dangerous Game" and "Time to Fly" brought her first popularity, and all-Union fame came to Yakovleva after starring in the sensational film "Intergirl" by Pyotr Todorovsky.

True, this fame was ambiguous: a drama about a representative of an ancient profession became the leader of the box office in 1989, it was watched by more than 41 million viewers, Yakovleva was recognized as the best actress of the year according to the magazine "Soviet Screen", she was awarded two prestigious film awards - the Tokyo Festival and festival "Constellation", but at the same time received a flurry of negative reviews.

They began to identify her with her heroine, Tanya Zaitseva, accusing the actress of setting a terrible example for young people. Yakovleva said: "". Due to the persecution of one of these "fans", the actress even had to go to the police.

After the role in this film, the audience called her Tanya, and she even got used to the fact that on the streets she was not treated differently. Many critics predicted that this role could put an end to her further film career: the audience has since associated it only with this heroine, and the directors were not interested in everyone seeing only Tanya Zaitseva in the new roles of Yakovleva. But the actress not only continued to act in films, but also played several iconic roles in the 1990s, when many of her colleagues were out of work. These were the films "Anchor, still anchor", "Raising cruelty in women and dogs", "Petersburg secrets" and others.

And in 1999, a new era began in the creative biography of Elena Yakovleva: she starred in the lead role in the TV series "Kamenskaya", which was released on screens for 12 years. It was again one hundred percent hit in the image - so accurate that the actress again had a new name. Since then, even journalists were often confused and called her Nastya - just like her heroine, and fans began to congratulate her on Police Day.

And in this case, the same story was repeated again: the incredible success of the series had a downside - critics again expressed fears that Yakovleva would become a hostage to one role. But her talent was too multifaceted to remain within the framework of one, albeit very successful, image. And she again surprised both critics and viewers by trying on completely unexpected images: in the series "Vangelia" Yakovleva played the role of the famous soothsayer Vanga, reincarnated beyond recognition, in several seasons of the series "Sklifosovsky" she very convincingly played a medical worker, head of a hospital department, in the series "Zhukov" she played the role of the wife of Marshal Zhukov, in the film "The Last Bogatyr" she reincarnated as Baba Yaga.

Today Elena Yakovleva continues to act in films and amaze viewers with her reincarnations. Finally, she can be proud that her name is now remembered by everyone: "".

The actress knows that the roles of Tanya Zaitseva and Nastya Kamenskaya are called her business cards, but she herself believes that her main “calling card” is still ahead, although she does not deny the similarities with her famous heroine: What do Elena Yakovleva and Anastasia Kamenskaya have in common.
