Big-eyed fluffy lumps - this is how Fabo, an artist from Honduras, sees animals. Lovely and naive illustrations of this illustrator literally look into the soul. And the smaller brothers drawn by him, created with ordinary colored pencils, simply personify defenselessness. When you look at these pictures, the desire immediately arises to have a pet and do with it, as the cat Garfield advised "Feed, love and never leave."
Each artist sees the animal world in his own way: for the photographer Laurent Baheux it is an empire of strong, free creatures, wild fauna, some with the help of our smaller brothers are trying to understand the human essence, and someone even combines animals and plants, getting strange hybrids.
“We are responsible for those we have tamed” - this is exactly the thought that arises when you look into those huge eyes, broadly and naively looking at us. It seems that gentle, slightly funny pencil drawings from artist Fabo were created in a world where there is no violence and cruelty. Where everyone believes that animals are man's best friends and treats them like real friends. And these cute creatures reciprocate.
Once the poet Joseph Brodsky said: "I am firmly convinced that it will be more difficult for a person who has read Hamlet to kill another person than for someone who has not read Hamlet." Probably the same can be said about these illustrations: it will be much more difficult for a person who has seen them to harm a living being than a person who has not seen them.
It is a pity that there is no children's book with illustrations from Fabo, because the cute animals would surely appeal to children.
Also, these drawings will certainly appeal to fans of Japanese anime culture: big kind eyes, soft fur and plump sides. Yes, this is a real combat kit that is able to defeat any lover of cats and, in general, animal cartoons.
