On August 1, at the Kurier studio, which is part of the Mosfilm concern, the shooting of a feature film was launched. The new film will tell about the elimination of Shamil Basayev, the leader of the Chechen terrorists. This tape is based on the official version. During a press conference in Vladikavkaz, Alexander Aravin told about the beginning of filming, the director-producer.
Part of the filming of this film will be carried out in Vladikavkaz, while the main part of the film will be filmed in Digorsk and Kurtatinsky gorge. Except in Ossetia, it is planned to shoot the feature film in other regions of the North Caucasus.
While the film is called "Destruction of a terrorist". It is working and can be further changed. When developing the script for this picture, official documents of the Federal Security Service were used. The specialists who worked on the creation of the script also communicated with the persons involved in the operation to eliminate the famous Chechen terrorist.
The role of the terrorist Basayev in this motion picture will be played by Ayub Tsingiev, an actor of the Chechen theater. The main characters of the new film are a couple of officers of the Federal Security Service. They decided to take on their role Alexei Vertkov and Igor Petrenko.
Alexander Aravin also said that no one wanted to shoot another film about a super agent. The main goal of the new film is to show love for the homeland and the readiness to defend it in any conditions. Presumably, a new film about the elimination of a dangerous terrorist will be released next year.
Nikolai Patrushev said that during the next preparation of the terrorist attack, which was to take place in Ingushetia, Basayev was eliminated, as well as several other bandits from his group. He reported to Putin on the destruction of a dangerous terrorist on July 10, 2006. The Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation even insisted on conducting a biological and forensic medical examination in order to be absolutely sure of Basayev's death. Experts called it difficult to carry out examinations, because the fragments were badly burned. At the end of 2006, after a molecular genetic examination, a statement was made that the remains belonged to Basayev.
