Men often compare cars with girls in a humorous way. Now witches have one more reason to draw a parallel: it turns out that both of them can do … aerobics. Yes, you heard right. Talented British designer Chris LaBrooy recently introduced a series of digital images called "Auto-aerobics" ("Auto Aerobics"), on which foreign cars can be seen in very spicy poses.
To create real sculptures is a difficult and troublesome business, and sometimes also impractical. After all, not always an art object can have great artistic value, more often it happens that its image can amuse and entertain us, and that's all. So Chris Labrouil created a series of his sculptures with the help of … graphic editors. Digital images look like they are real photographs.
The cars in the pictures look more than original: their "weaves" form a real puzzle, akin to a Rubik's cube or a jigsaw puzzle. I want to look at whimsical geometric shapes over and over again, because the "auto-aerobics" lesson continues. Stretch out, curl up, relax - the machines obediently follow the commands of coach Chris Labruy.
The designer says that he was inspired to create this surreal project by walking around Brooklyn on long winter evenings. Parked cars became the object of photo manipulation, and, it is worth noting, the result was impressive.
By the way, we recall that recently on the site Kulturologiya. Ru we wrote about digital sculptures by another contemporary artist, Adam Martinakis.
