"Floral Drawings" is a flight of the artist's imagination, embodied in refined, light, like a breath of a summer breeze, forms. From the thinnest petals, a pink flamingo is born and a butterfly unfolds its wings. Roses, hydrangeas, lilies, asters, chrysanthemums - there is a whole palette of colors in the art arsenal of Fong Qi Wei! Each petal is carefully placed in its “own” place, which creates the illusion of a three-dimensional image. In the painted paintings, this is very difficult to achieve, but here the texture of the flower petals comes into force.
Fong Qi Wei's paintings are similar to those of the Impressionists, the artist even created a floral "reproduction" of the famous "Sunflowers" by Van Gogh. Speaking about his work, the talented Singaporean master emphasizes that only those works of art that reveal universal themes that are understandable to people in all corners of the world can be called truly great.
