It is not known how personal life developed photographer Jeffrey Milstein, but there is no doubt that for him “planes first, and girls later,” there is no doubt. Somehow his photographs, taken from a bird's eye view, resemble a giant scrapbooking - the largest airports America and its adjacent road junctions look like intricate patterns.
Readers of the site of Culturology. ru we have already introduced the works of this extraordinary artist: not so long ago he presented to the public a series of works made “under the wing of an airplane”. One of Jeffrey's hobbies is taking pictures of the iron giants in the sky, observing them near the runway. The new collection of photographs already demonstrates the opposite view - “from top to bottom”.
Jeffrey explains that in this series of photographs he tried to show the "layering" and complexity of modern cities, the abundance of road communications. In general, cities are like huge living organisms that are constantly growing, absorbing people like a grain.
The attention to the aviation theme in the work of the photographer is not accidental - Jeffrey Milstein was in love with airplanes since childhood. As a boy, he constantly ran to look at the airport runway in Los Angeles, designed model airplanes, and at the age of 17 he was already studying to be a pilot.
In love with the sky, the photographer has achieved amazing results in his professional career: today, his photographs of Boeings and helicopters can be seen in the exhibition hall of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, as well as in the National Museum of Aviation and Space (Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum).
