Ben Canales is an American photographer, whose photographs of the starry sky are widely known not only in his home state of Oregon and America, but also in our country. Night, sky and stars, having once become the subject of a photographer, they still "do not let go", forcing him to create more and more masterpieces. In this article - new works Ben Canales: new milestones in his career to the stars.
"I photograph stars. I was hypnotized by them in my youth, and I continue to enjoy capturing the stunning night skies, "- this is how Ben Canales begins his life story. As you can see, he is the" brother in misfortune "of such photographers as Mark Bensladin and Nathan Spotts, who are also forever bewitched the greatness of the universe.
Ben draws food for inspiration from his long journeys and hiking trips: a special place in his work is occupied by the theme of "a tourist (or his tent) under the stars". The stunning views that he finds while traveling could be an excellent subject for daytime photographs - but they are much more poetic and mysterious at night, when the landscapes are covered with a blanket. secrets … Interestingly, if earlier Ben Canales never missed an opportunity to play with graphic editors, now his attitude to the material has become much more delicate: the last photos look natural. However, you still cannot do without graphic editors: in order for the stars to be clearly visible, the photo has to be properly brightened.
Sky, night and stars they reveal themselves even brighter and more fully next to objects and buildings that are interesting in themselves. The main such object for Ben is Stonehenge … Not the famous Stonehenge that is in Wiltshire, England, but its full life-size reconstruction, built next to the American Museum of Maryhill. This second Stonehenge looks exactly as the eyes of our distant ancestors saw the megalithic observatory. He is captured in many photos of Ben Canales, but this one (taken this April) is perhaps his greatest luck: the photographer waited for the date of the largest and brightest moon, and specially made a short trip to Stonehenge.
Sky. Night. Stars. Photos by Ben Canales do not risk exhausting this topic - because it is inexhaustible, and only become more beautiful over the years.
