How many of us did not take our breath away when he watched the earth from a height of flight on an airplane or even the tallest building in the city? And here is an American photographer Cameron Davidson, author of a series of photographs with the title "Flying Over America", made similar observations by his profession. From a height he saw, without exaggeration, all of America.
After all, the American Cameron Davidson was in almost all states of the United States. True, he did not stay there for long. Upon arrival at the site, he immediately boarded a helicopter and flew to inspect the seemingly endless space from a height of three hundred meters.
He himself says that he chose this height empirically. It turns out that in large cities there is a haze above this mark, the remnants of emissions from cars and factories, which greatly degrades the quality of images if they are taken above it.
Subsequently, he realized that three hundred meters is the best height for photographing the earth from above. Indeed, from its level, all objects on the surface still seem quite close, but at the same time, a stunning perspective is visible, extending to the horizon.
Unlike his colleague and compatriot Alex MacLean, Cameron Davidson shoots not the most terrible manifestations of human life, the stupidity of our Civilization, but, on the contrary, all the most beautiful and unusual. And from above such angles can be found an order of magnitude more than from the level of the earth's surface.
Great things are seen at a distance! Perhaps it is this understanding that pulls Cameron Davidson into the air. After all, how not to love your country, and indeed the planet Earth, looking at it from a height and seeing only sheer beauty and dignity, and not dirty streets or unhappy faces of people?

Hundreds of square meters of mosaics and Mikhail Lomonosov's "universal man" color theory
The whole world knows Mikhail Lomonosov as a brilliant scientist and inventor in various branches of science, a talented writer and poet. And it is very difficult to list all the talents and services to the fatherland of this “universal man”. But today I would like to focus on one of them - the talent of the artist. His creative successes in the field of mosaic art were amazing, for everything that the hand of a genius touched had a deep, thorough and professional character
The largest monastery: 10,000 monks at an altitude of 4,000 meters
We have already talked about the Buddhist monastery, which collected 10,000 Buddhas. But in the Chinese monastery Yarhen there are not so many Buddhas. But there are 10,000 monks! This is the largest monastery in the world - the size of an entire city
26 years alone at the top of a cliff: How does a Georgian monk live at a height of 40 meters
Few people are surprised today that some people prefer to live like hermits. However, the story of Maxim Kavtaradze and his current home is not like the others - his hermitage is in plain sight. His house is easy to see, but difficult to approach. Maxim lives on the top of a 40-meter limestone monolith, towering in the middle of the gorge
81-year-old "Rapunzel" has grown her hair up to 3 meters, but very much regretted it
Many girls want to grow long hair, considering it a symbol of beauty and health, but hardly anyone else can boast of such a "head of hair" that an 81-year-old grandmother from Vietnam possesses. However, the three-meter hair of this lady does not look at all the same as that of the fabulous Rapunzel
Wastelandscape - frozen 500 square meters of music
Let's talk again about architecture as frozen music. This seemingly hackneyed statement plays with new and new colors and forms. Take, for example, the architectural installation Wastelandscape, which recently appeared in the courtyard of the Centquatre gallery in Paris. This is frozen music in all its glory
