The most modern cars, equipped with the most modern technologies and created taking into account the most modern technical developments, participate in the Formula 1 class car races. And therefore it is very surprising that the designer Pj tierneywho created a series of advertising postersdedicated to the season Formula 1 2011, made it in retro style.
I must say that the concept of "retro" in the last decade has become a global trend. People are nostalgic for the past decades, when everything was not as fast and complicated as it is now. When the future seemed wonderful and delightful, which is no longer such confidence in our time. That is why all sorts of retro projects appear, such as a retro calendar for 2011 from Audi Russia, a series of 80s Purple Summer 2010 advertising works from Julia Galdo or posters dedicated to Formula 1 from PJ Tierney.
PJ Tierney has created nineteen amazing posters, each of which is dedicated to one of the stages of the Formula 1 World Championship (nineteen, because, at the time of their creation, the Bahrain Grand Prix had not yet been canceled due to the tense political situation in this Arabic state).
Each of these posters is a stylized image of the flag of one or another state, where the Formula 1 stages will take place. Moreover, this flag is stylized just for the realities of auto racing. For example, the poster for the Japanese Grand Prix depicts the head of a race car driver wearing a red helmet instead of the rising sun. On the “Hungarian” poster, each of the stripes of the flag is drawn in the form of a driver of a certain color.
On the "Indian" poster, a Formula 1 car is driving under the Taj Mahal, and on the "Turkish" and "Canadian" cars are stylized, respectively, under a crescent moon with a star and a maple leaf.
Well, these posters themselves are not drawn in the style of modern graphic art, but in the style that was inherent in propaganda and advertising posters of the mid-twentieth century, or even the first half of it.
Each of the PJ Tierney's Formula 1 racing posters cost € 30. This is comparable to the minimum ticket for the Turkish Grand Prix - the cheapest European stage of the Championship.

Like the tentacles of a giant Octopus, social networks embrace, envelop the entire Internet, penetrating deeper and deeper into it, and more and more densely sitting in the mind of a person, eating a fair chunk of his time (mainly a worker), and sometimes occupying an important position in his life.
