Drawings drawn with a simple ballpoint pen, for me personally, quite often evoked associations with school sketches on the last sheet of a notebook, where many students killed the passing time during a boring lesson. But with the Finnish artist Anna Emilia Laitinen, it’s just the opposite, she began her creative career with illustrations with ink, simple and colored pencils, and only recently began to try to draw with a ballpoint pen.
Seeing the drawings of a young Finnish artist for the first time, it feels like you are looking at the clear blue sky, just about to step into a haze. Everything is so heavenly, mysterious, light and airy. It is unlikely that there is any technique for creating an image, perhaps Anna Emilia Laitinen simply depicts what she feels, her emotions and desires. Draws what he thinks about or dreams about.
Anna Emilia Laitinen was born in Finland among forests and lakes in 1983. She studied graphic design in Finland and Iceland for five years. The artist draws, sews, appliques and designs.
