Fantasy, commissioned from Wallpaper Magazine, 200 meters of fluorescent tubes, a chair frame and an outlet on hand - that's all it took to create a rainbow disco chair. The craftsmen from the Kiwi & Pom company looked and looked at other creatives, and they made this wonderful sculpture: not only to show themselves, but also to remind of the bygone era of disco and the seventies! And indeed, looking at a huge chair shimmering with all the colors of the rainbow, it becomes, to put it mildly, difficult to forget about something.
You can give one hundred percent guarantee that at least one chair (or, at worst, a stool) is in every home. And we know so much about chairs that at least write an encyclopedia: we know how they grow, we know about model chairs who adore posing for artists, chairs are even styled. Only one thing was not known for certain: how do these dudes and fashionistas spend their leisure time?
The guys at Kiwi & Pom answered this question: chairs go to disco parties, where they have fun and shimmer with all the colors of the rainbow, but if you think about it, why do you need this sculpture (of course, except that by its very existence it cheers up fans of the seventies)? It is unlikely that you can sit on such a chair: suddenly the tubes will break, or even shock. But if you fantasize well, then you can, say, decorate clubs or open-air parties with such a toy, because the chair does not just glow, it can flash and shimmer in time with the music. In a word, labor and pipes will not be wasted!
Kiwi & Pom is based in London and has been delighting its customers since 2008. In addition to the Disko chair, they have a lot of other interesting projects, all of them are simple, but tasteful: vintage telephones, stylish tables, bright karaoke microphones and even projects of cozy cafes and kitchens. More information about all the works of Kiwi & Pom can be found on their website.

Chair from "chair" (concept project)
Very often, designers create their projects based on existing ones. Indeed, it is not for nothing that the proverb says: everything new is a well-forgotten old. And there is nothing wrong with using old ideas already forgotten by someone
Chair hairstyle. Hair Chair design installation by Baron & Baron art studio
Hairy chairs with stylish hairstyles are not the result of long and hard research and experimentation in the field of genetic engineering. And even the fact that they resemble cousins of the Addams Family cousin means absolutely nothing. The Hair Chair is nothing more than the creation of the Baron & Baron design team. Such is the unusual design installation presented at the London Design Festival

The chair as an object: design allusions to the famous Viennese chair
Parisian Pablo Reinoso is a true connoisseur of good furniture. The future designer created his first chair at the age of six. Over the years, the passion has not faded away. On the contrary, having received an education in architecture, Reinoso made a real fetish out of this piece of furniture, an object to be collected and reproduced in the most outlandish ways
