Surely everyone has heard that cats are proud and independent animals, they walk by themselves and most often with their noses turned up in order to inform everyone about their autonomous position in this world. But when you look at the work of the artist working under the nickname Apofiss, all the connotations associated with our furry friends somehow fade into the background.

Black cats climbing dubious hillocks and dark wetlands should be something of a superstitious horror. But the Lithuanian artist, working under the nickname Apofiss, has got insanely cute kittens that cause not only affection, but, as it should be when it comes to black cats, some, so to speak, tension, because we all remember that cats may not want to be friends with people, but the most "gifted" of them do not mind communicating with the devil.

In general, recently it has become very popular to draw cats, on "Culturology" they have already written about such artists as Alena Otto-Fradina, who creates children's illustrations with very cute, but somewhat strange cats, painted in watercolors; Anton Gortsevich, whose light, bright paintings can easily be attributed to one of the brightest examples of modern naive art (this is one of the directions of primitivism - a style of painting that originated in the 19th century and contains a deliberate simplification of the picture, making its forms primitive, like the creativity of a child or drawings of primitive times).

And of course, we shouldn't forget the queen of cats by Chinese artist Gu Yingzh, who draws these pets in the gohua style. Her works are very elegant, the images of cats seem to "breathe" with some special, almost romantic charm. She draws not “for the sake of drawing, but in order to express her feelings and emotions, most of the time is spent on choosing and writing the desired verse.” From such a variety, everyone (both large and small) can choose something to their liking. By the way, Apofiss, alas, does not have a website, but there are a lot of works by the artist on the Internet (except drawings with cats she has created many wonderful work cycles).
