We write a lot about what kind of designers are dreamers, how many ideas come to their minds, but very often this is what happens - a company, agency or magazine give a designer a task or a topic, and only then the creation process begins. This happened in this case as well.
Many of us are tired of boring umbrellas, we want something new and bright. Designers have helped us out more than once, offering new and new options, however, a girl named Anastacia Spda surpassed everyone. For the magazine ReadyMade, she made an umbrella from … X-rays. Although it is not entirely correct to put the question this way, because the umbrella is not entirely made of photographs - once it was the most ordinary umbrella, it was just that the photographs were laid and attached over the fabric from the inner and outer sides of the umbrella. This can be done easily, only scissors, a hole punch, a sewing machine, little things for the stationery part are useful to pin all the pictures, and, of course, the pictures themselves - in the amount of about twenty-four pieces. The picture shows how this can be done if someone decides to sew such an umbrella for himself almost by hand. By the way, at least someone will think it blasphemy - to make an umbrella out of their own X-rays with their own sores and fractures, but no one will have such a second one. A collection of X-rays will be more interesting for some people than photographs from a wedding - and this is true, there are “happy” people. It may not be easy to get them from your doctor, but what a gift to yourself later!
It is worth saying that the designer was initially given the task - to find things that no one needs, and to make a truly interesting project out of them and definitely necessary. All the work of the student was transferred to the editorial office of the magazine, which also demanded instructions for readers - surely someone would be interested and want to make such an umbrella on their own.
