Furniture can be very different, but not every one can and should be seated. Some projects simply do not have a practical component. You can only look at them and admire them, and also think about something.
Looking at this chair, it would never occur to you to sit on it. It is immediately clear that it is completely unstable, and will not be able to withstand even a small weight of a child. The thing is, this chair is made of straws. The most common straws from which we are used to drinking carbonated drinks. Only their number is amazing - about 10, 000 pieces were used to create the chair! I'm afraid to imagine how long it could take to create such a creation, because for sure all this is done by hand. Some may notice that there is no point in such an undertaking, because furniture should exist for only one purpose - it is important to rest comfortably on it.
Here we see an absolutely opposite option, but this is not furniture at all, but an art project. By the way, it should be said that he was chosen by Zaha Hadid herself at Noise Festival-2008. Her name is on everyone's lips, and such a person would not celebrate a pointless thing. And despite all the senselessness, the project turned out to be interesting and time-consuming - it will not be possible to combine so many straws in one day!
The idea of the project belongs to the designer Scott Jarvie

But in fact, everything is not quite so, and when tea appeared in Russia, it was not initially accepted and appreciated. Today the Russian samovar is a kind of symbol of Russia. When did the Russian people begin to drink tea, what kind of samovars were there, where should the tea lo
"Lonely Accordion" with a Russian-French Soul: The Difficult Fate of a Popularly Beloved Drinking Song
Previously, close people gathered together at the same table, discussed everyday problems, shared news, and also sang songs. "Again everything froze until dawn …". Great old drinking songs from our parents and grandparents! Unfortunately, the tradition of table singing is gradually disappearing from our lives. It's a pity
Amazing installations from drinking straws. Creativity of Sang-Sik Hong
It would seem that plastic straws for drinks are such a trifle, but as soon as they fall into skillful hands, we are not at all cheap accessories for drinks, but potential works of art. We have already written about the works of the Brooklyn artist Annie Boyden Varnot, who creates multi-colored sculptures from tubes. Well, and it is simply impossible to ignore the amazing installations of the Korean author Sang-Sik Hong, presented in the gala
How to advertise tea? The straws will help
It's hard to create beautiful and interesting ads, but designers make every imaginable and unthinkable effort to do this. We remind you that we do not pursue the goal of advertising this or that project. It's just that some of them are so interesting that it is simply impossible not to tell about them
