It is difficult to imagine how many drinking straws the author uses to create one such installation, and how long he has been working on his works. Painstaking work, requiring perseverance and angelic patience - not everyone, even an exceptionally talented master, is capable of this. This is probably one of the main reasons why the work of Sang Sik Hong is so popular not only in his homeland, but also far beyond its borders.
