Turning the world upside down is the title of an exhibition of sculptures by renowned author Anish Kapoor, which opens in Kensington Gardens in London two weeks later. In various corners of the royal park, visitors will be presented with four pieces of stainless steel, which provide the effect of a mirror surface.

Four sculptures will be presented to the audience: “Sky Mirror, Red” (2009), “C-Curve” (2007), “Sky Mirror” (2006), “Non Object (Spire)” (2008). Despite the fact that the works themselves are quite large, thanks to their mirrored surface, visitors will see not so much sculptures as trees, clouds and even themselves reflected in them.

All four sculptures have previously been shown to the public: Sky Mirror, Red and C-Curve in London, Sky Mirror and Non Object (Spire) in Brussels and New York. However, at the same time in the English capital, these works will be collected for the first time. The exhibition, initiated by the Royal Parks of London and the Serpentine Gallery, will open on 28 September 2010 and will run until 13 March 2011.

We have already repeatedly introduced our readers to the work of Anish Kapoor: and if the famous Chicago "Cloud Gate" mostly admirable, then the largest English sculpture "Temenos" so far there are more opponents than supporters. But despite the fact that his works are not always understandable to the audience, Anish Kapoor nevertheless remains one of the most famous and sought-after sculptors of our time.
