Photographer Camille Seaman For fifteen years she has been photographing the polar regions - her photographs of Antarctica, Greenland and Svalbard have long conquered the Internet. Breathtaking landscapes, huge glaciers and wild inhabitants of the icy edges - these are what usually falls into the lens of the "chronicler" of wildlife.
Simen is seriously concerned about global warming. Through your photos it strives for universal environmental awareness and fostering love for the planet in people. Glaciers that seem so unshakable and majestic today are likely to melt very soon, causing enormous disasters.
“In the polar regions you feel an extraordinary peace - there is no such peace in any other place in the world. At the same time, the local nature is hostile. It is designed to humble us and show what a fragile and beautiful world we live in,”explains the photographer.
Initially, the photographer did not set herself environmental goals. “It was important for me to share this stunning beauty, to tell about this part of our common home,” says Camilla, “but every year I saw with my own eyes the horrific effects of climate change, saw how polar sea.
Camilla Simen was born in 1969 to an Indian and African American family. Graduated from State University of New York in 1992. Her photographs can be seen on the pages of such major publications as National Geographic, Geo, Times, Newsweek and many others. The photographer conducts field seminars, participates in international exhibitions.
