A few days ago, he was the most ordinary homeless person, of whom there are more than enough on the streets of British cities. And now the whole United Kingdom knows him. He was treating the injured at the stadium in Manchester after the explosion. Now people from all over the UK are helping him.
When the explosion occurred at the Manchester stadium, Steve was near the arena. “People screamed and started running. My friend and I succumbed to the general panic and ran too - until we realized what had happened,”Steve later said. When he realized what had happened, he immediately returned to the stadium and began helping the wounded until the medical carriages arrived.
When reporters asked Steve after the tragedy why he did it, he replied: “It's instinct. I could not live with myself, knowing that I left without the help of children."
David Sullivan, co-owner of West Ham United Football Club, was touched by the act of a "homeless hero" who sacrificed his own safety to save others. “When he said he just helped people and everyone would have done the same in his place, I thought, 'How can I help him?'
The Sullivans turned to charities and called on to help Steve with food, clothing and basic necessities. One British woman started a fundraiser to pay Steve's rent, and in two days she managed to raise about 30 thousand pounds. Another Londoner launched a crowdfunding campaign and raised £ 40,000 for Steve. He wrote on the Internet: "I usually don't do this kind of thing, but this man gave me back my faith in people."

People, people and again people. Drawings by John Beinart
If you only have a couple of moments to get to know Jon Beinart, then, glancing over his paintings, you will see black and white portraits or several human figures. But the drawings of this author are nevertheless recommended to be considered more thoughtfully and more carefully: and then you will see that in each image there are tens and hundreds of people, who can be peered at for hours
