Today, the name of this actress is known only to real connoisseurs of cinema, and some fans of the stage of the 1960s. Once her fame thundered throughout the Soviet Union, and many famous men sought her hands. Ivan Pereverzev became the husband of Nadezhda Cherednichenko twice, she was married to Pyotr Todorovsky, gave birth to a daughter from a classified aircraft designer Alexander Mikulin. She did not need anything, on the contrary, she was a very wealthy person. What made her leave the USSR?
Love affair at work
She was born in 1928, and played her first film role at the age of 19, as a student at VGIK, where she studied on the course of Yuri Raizman. Then, in the difficult post-war years, there was a need for kind and life-affirming films that would glorify fortitude, honest competition and the joy of creation. The shooting of the sports comedy was entrusted to the novice director Andrei Frolov, the promising actor Ivan Pereverzev, the already famous artists Vladimir Volodin and Anastasia Zuev, were approved for the main roles, and the student of VGIK Nadezhda Cherednichenko was entrusted to play the gymnast Nina Grekov.
According to the plot of the film, the hero of Ivan Pereverzev, amateur boxer Nikita Krutikov, conquering more and more titles, conquers the girl Nina. In fact, the actor managed to achieve a hand and heart not only for his on-screen lover, but also for the actress who played her. True, the beginning of the acquaintance of Ivan Pereverzev and Nina Cherednichenko was not at all as rosy as on the screen.
The thing is that the rising star of Soviet cinema allowed himself to appear on the set in a light drink and made very unfortunate jokes. The young student did not like this at all, and she even decided to stay away from her colleague outside the filming. But Ivan Pereverzev himself unexpectedly fell in love and began to court Nadezhda. He was caring and charming, attentive and gallant, and also very talented and rather wealthy.
He took the girl to a cafe on Gorky Street, showered her with flowers and gifts, and over and over again called her to marry. And Nadezhda Cherednichenko, as a result, gave up and accepted the offer of Ivan Pereverzev. On Nadia's birthday, the actors, waiting for the end of filming for the next episode, announced their imminent wedding to their colleagues.
After the release of the picture on the screens, Nadezhda Cherednichenko became known no less than her husband. True, her marriage to Ivan Pereverzev was not saved even by the birth of their son Sergei. Scandals did not stop in the family, and the spouse's broad gestures in the form of a car donated to his wife or buying a new piano for her, could not reconcile Nadezhda with the need to endure her husband's craving for alcohol. Five years after the wedding, the actress resolutely packed her things, took her son and left her husband.
Secret love
Nadezhda Cherednichenko never suffered from lack of attention from men, and the birth in 1953 of the daughter of the actress Elena gave rise to a lot of rumors about a secret romance. Even a version was put forward that the girl's father was none other than Lavrenty Beria. Nadezhda herself preferred to remain silent.
Only years later it became known that the actress had an affair with aircraft designer Alexander Mikulin, who was developing turbojet engines. He constantly moved under heavy guard, as the Western special services tried to recruit him, and then there were fears that there was a threat to his life. He could not marry the actress, so as not to violate the rules of secrecy, but the aircraft designer and the actress lived together for six years, after which they parted for unknown reasons.
Twice in the same river
Nadezhda Cherednichenko did not miss being alone for long. Soon, at the Odessa Film Studio, she met the cameraman Pyotr Todorovsky. By all accounts, it was an unequal marriage. She is a recognized Moscow beauty, who has become a star all-Union scale, a graduate of VGIK and a student at the Gnesins Institute. And he is a humble operator. He had nothing, but she had her own apartment in the capital, a car and two summer cottages.
They nevertheless became husband and wife, however, in fact, their marriage lasted only two years. Subsequently, the second wife of the already famous film director Mira Todorovskaya recalled how her husband was happy that she was not an actress.
And Nadezhda Cherednichenko explained her divorce from Todorovsky with an attempt to rebuild a family with Ivan Pereverzev. After a divorce from Nadezhda, he repeatedly persuaded her to give him a second chance. When he came to her home and swore for a long time in eternal love for her and her son, the actress gave up. And she wrote a letter to Peter Todorovsky in Odessa with a request to give her a divorce, explaining that she was going to return to her first husband. Pyotr Efimovich was not going to keep his windy wife, and soon Ivan Pereverzev settled in the apartment of his ex-wife.
He lived there for a year and a half, until Nadezhda realized that nothing had changed in the life of her first husband. He still loves alcoholic beverages and cannot resist ladies' charms. Pereverzev categorically refused to leave the actress until Nadezhda Illarionovna, by her own admission, bought him a cooperative apartment on Sivtsev Vrazhka.
Life is not bad across the sea
Nadezhda Cherednichenko played her best film roles in the 50s of the last century, and by the mid 60s the directors almost stopped inviting her to shoot. She had a reputation as a capricious and unpredictable actress, and even with great connections. But Nadezhda Illarionovna did not lose heart, she organized her own concert program, began to go on tour through the Mosconcert and enjoyed success.
The idea of moving abroad came to her after meeting with another admirer, who at one time worked as a diplomat at the UN. She was attracted by the prospect of becoming famous all over the world, conquering Hollywood and getting rich. Nadezhda Cherednichenko received permission to leave thanks to her connections and left for the United States without any problems.
True, her dreams of world recognition did not come true. In America, the actress sang in a Russian restaurant in Brighton Beach, and this was the maximum that she achieved abroad. Nadezhda Cherednichenko did not live in poverty, but she could not be called rich either.
In the 1990s, adult children began to persuade their mother to return to Russia, but she no longer wanted to change anything. Nadezhda Illarionovna came to Moscow several times, met with friends, but did not leave New York. In June 2019, she passed away in her apartment two months before her 92nd birthday.
The first husband of Nadezhda Cherednichenko, Ivan Pereverzev, was not only a brilliant actor, but also an incorrigible womanizer and heartthrob. Women wrote him sensual letters and even threatened to commit suicide in the absence of an answer from him. Only at the age of 53 did he meet the one with whom he was able to build a real family. But fate let go Ivan Pereverzev and Olga Solovyova only 11 years of happiness.
