In the 1970s in the USSR, not a single state concert, not a single New Year's "Blue Light." there was no girl or woman in the country who was not fascinated by his voice and struck by his charm. Many women's hearts were broken when Muslim Magomayev married the Bolshoi Theater Tamara Sinyavskaya. They were together for 35 years - both on stage and in life.
Love at first sight
Muslim Magomayev met his future wife in his native Baku. In those days, a festival of Russian art was held in Azerbaijan, and at one of the evenings Robert Rozhdestvensky introduced the future Muslim and Tamara. The opera prima was married at that time, and did not think of any serious connections. And besides, there were legends about the victories of Muslim over women. And Magomayev himself from the first minute Magomayev understood: this is fate. Later he would say more than once in numerous interviews: “I fell in love with Tamara instantly from the first minute and somehow thought at that moment that she was with me forever”.
Soon, Sinyavskaya went to Italy for a one-year internship. She hoped that at a distance, feelings would subside, emotions and pass away. But for Muslim in love, distance was not an obstacle. Once a week, Tamara was given a gorgeous bouquet of roses from him. And every evening a bell rang in the singer's hotel room - it was Magomayev. They talked for hours. Muslim scrolled through the recordings of his new songs and waited for Tamara to return. When she returned, Magomayev invited the lady of the heart to his concert at the Palace of Congresses, but Sinyavskaya did not come.
Family duo
They signed on November 23, 1974. They decided to "secretly" celebrate the wedding in the Moscow restaurant "Baku", but it did not work out. 100 people were sitting in the hall, at the table, and more than 300 fans crowded outside the windows. It was very cold, but in spite of everything Muslim opened the windows and sang for his guests for almost an hour. And then they had another wedding - in Azerbaijan, the head of the republic, Heydar Aliyev, arranged it for the young at his dacha.
In the first years of their life together, the couple often quarreled, but Muslim was always the first to make concessions. He said: “I don’t understand at all those families in which everything is very smooth, without quarrels. In my opinion, this is some kind of indifference. " Sinyavskaya recalled that after one of the quarrels, she went to her room. And the husband went out onto the balcony, climbed over the railing and walked 10 meters along the cornice of the fifteenth floor, looked through the window and said cheerfully: "Kuku!" When Tamara saw him outside the window, she sat down in horror right on the floor … But the quarrel was instantly forgotten.
“For some reason I am often asked how two vocalists get along under the same roof? Why not? Each of us has his own party …”- Magomayev said more than once. The owner of a magnificent voice, talented, knowing her own worth, Sinyavskaya did a wise act like a woman - she gave her beloved person the primacy in everything. Magomayev was an incredibly positive person, with his inner core, proud, sometimes even capricious, but Tamara was always reasonable and “smoothed out” family conflicts.
They have always been together, supported each other in any situations and created their own world, into which almost no one was allowed. When her husband fell ill, Tamara immediately left the Bolshoi Theater to constantly be near him. To say that it was a difficult period for both of them is to say nothing … But even at that time they went on stage together every time, as soon as the state of Muslim allowed.

In 2005, Magomayev decided to leave the stage. The family lived closed, trying to avoid journalists and television cameras. Friends remember that until the last days, Muslim's voice sounded as bright, strong and beautiful as in his youth.
When Muslim Magometovich died, the world for his wife collapsed. On the day of the funeral, she could neither speak nor cry. And only when the song "Melody" sounded, tears appeared in her eyes. This was exactly the song that Magamaev, who was in love, first sang for Sinyavskaya on the phone.
Today Tamara Ilyinichna is doing everything possible to preserve the memory of her husband. She is one of the organizers of the M. Magomayev International Vocal Competition, conducts courses for aspiring singers, devoting herself to the memory of the great Muslim.
