Each city has its own special charm, its own unique personality. And probably in any locality, be it a quiet residential area or a bustling metropolis, there is at least one street artist who turns gray walls into real masterpieces of street and urban art. This is what it does French-Austrian tandem of street artists Jana and Js, under the brushes (or rather, under the spray cans) of which the boring walls of ordinary houses become real masterpieces street art!
Jana was born in Austria in 1985, Js is a native of France born in 1981. Their work is easily recognizable for the main theme of all the graffiti of this couple: people against the backdrop of a cityscape. Very often from the painted walls Jana and Js, photographers are looking at us through the lens of cameras. Many of those who have seen the work of this tandem say that looking at the graffiti Jana and Js, "You can easily lose perspective, the border between the real and the drawn."
Jana and Js are part of the WCA group, which also includes Artiste-ouvrier (the group's founder), 6lex and Marybel. It was established in 2005 and has been successfully operating since then. According to the participants, the WCA is a team to which each participant brings his own, unique style.
Jana and Js create their works using stencils, which are then painted with spray cans. In addition to graffiti, Jana and Js are also involved in screen printing and photography. For several years they lived in Paris and Madrid, and now they live in Austria, in Salzburg.
By the way, soon Jana and Js together with such artists as ZEVS, who is one of the main street provocateurs (by the way, some of his works are very similar to the works of another street master - Ellis Gallagher). His art (according to the author himself) is devoted to social problems.
