Billions of people around the planet nowadays have accounts in one or another social network. And the artist Belinda Tan decided to dream up what would happen if famous heroines of the Disney film studio had their own photoblog in the service Instagram.
Disney Studios have always been good at female characters such as Pocahontas, the little mermaid Ariel, Princess Jasmine from Aladdin, Belle from Beauty and the Beast, and so on. They are so bright and attractive that they regularly find new life in the work of other artists. Examples of this include the highly controversial but amusing work by Jirka Väätäinen, Thomas Czarnecki, Jeffrey Scott Campbell or Dina Goldstein.
Artist Belinda Tan created a new interpretation of the life of the Disney princesses, drawing a series of fictional pages of these heroines on the Instagram service.
Images created by Belinda Tan include, for example, the interiors of the Beast's castle and Belle's signature “My New Library”. Princess Jasmine, on her fictional page, posted a photo of a building that looks like the Taj Mahal, commenting on it with the words "Home, sweet home!"
Cinderella in this series of humorous images shows off a gorgeous dress to her subscribers, and Rapunzel shows the world a photograph of the prince climbing the tower in which she is imprisoned.
At the same time, all the heroines are happy to comment on each other's photos, discuss news and give advice on how to be more beautiful and successful.
