Father Sergei Velyaminov became famous after the release of the film "Shadows disappear at noon". It was the actor's debut in the cinema, after which he played many more roles. In total, Peter Sergeevich had five wives and three children, a son and two daughters. The actor took Sergei after a divorce from his second wife, the boy's mother, and then, regardless of the change in his father's marital status, the son was always next to Peter Velyaminov.
Together with his father to another family
Sergei Velyaminov was born in a marriage with Galina Grishina, the second wife of the actor. Prior to that, Peter Velyaminov was married to actress Lyudmila Nyukhalova, in which a daughter, Catherine, appeared.
When Sergei was four years old, Peter Velyaminov was invited to the troupe of the Perm theater, the family moved from Dzerzhinsk, Gorky region to Perm, where the spouses' second child, daughter Irina, was born. But in Perm, Peter Velyaminov and Galina Grishina broke up. The actor in the theater met his third wife, actress Galina Dobrovolskaya.
Soon after the conclusion of his third marriage, the actor received an invitation to the troupe of the Sovremennik Theater and was finally able to return to his hometown. He arrived in the capital with his third wife, her daughter Olga and her son, whom he decided to raise himself. However, his second wife did not mind.
Pyotr Sergeevich was a rather strict parent, having adopted this from his father. It is worth noting that the Velyaminovs are an ancient noble family dating back to the time of Yaroslav the Wise. Both Pyotr Sergeevich and his father Sergei Petrovich maintained noble habits throughout their lives, even after imprisonment and the camps, where they both visited on a trumped-up charge, and in fact, precisely for belonging to a noble family.
Pyotr Velyaminov, together with his son, often visited his parents, and little Sergei really liked these visits. Indeed, in the presence of his grandfather, his strict father became an obedient child. He called dad "you" and obeyed in everything, although he himself was already more than forty years old. Grandfather adored and spoiled his grandson.
In a marriage with Galina Dobrovolskaya, Pyotr Velyaminov did not live long, but Sergei remembered the actress's real maternal attitude, and Olya, her daughter, became almost a sister for the boy. Children often staged impromptu performances for their neighbors in the hostel, where they lived in the capital at first. Later, the family received an apartment on Bolshaya Pereyaslavskaya Street, but there the family did not live in full force for long. One day, his father asked Sergei to pack his things and took him to another family. The son tried with all his might not to show how difficult it is for him to come to terms with the idea that there will no longer be either Galina Vladimirovna or Olya in his life.
Second mother
Elena Manevich was beautiful and young, even Sergei admitted this fact. But with all the fervor of his youth, he tried at first to raise his father's fourth wife. Once, taking advantage of the absence of his father, he gave Elena Iosifovna a whole lecture about how it is useless to build his own happiness on someone else's misfortune, and it should no longer be appropriate for him to destroy the family.
Only many years later, Elena Manevich confessed to Sergei: after that conversation with her stepson, she was ready to break off relations with Peter Sergeevich, but she could not give up her love. She was always patient and kind to Sergei, brought up on a par with her son from his first marriage.
Pyotr Sergeevich at that time already acted in films a lot, often went on creative business trips, and Elena Iosifovna took care of Sergei, visited him at school, because at a transitional age the actor's son did not differ in exemplary behavior. Over time, Sergei appreciated the care and warmth that his father's wife gave him, and even began to call her mother on his own initiative.
Sergei Velyaminov recalls that time as very happy. In their spacious four-room apartment on the Frunzenskaya embankment, guests often gathered: friends, relatives, acquaintances, father's colleagues. They lived in abundance, the house was a full bowl. If the opportunity arose, Elena, along with her sons Mikhail and Sergey, went to the shooting to her husband.
Choosing a path
Until the tenth grade, Sergei did not even think about becoming an actor like his father. But after he had a chance to take part in a school play, he learned what success and recognition are. It was then that the guy decided to become an actor.
It cannot be said that the father took his son's desire with enthusiasm. On the contrary, he immediately warned the heir: he would not expect any help or patronage from him. In his opinion, a man should achieve everything in life on his own. Sergei completely shared the position of the pope, so he did not even think to be offended by him.
But the first attempt to enter the theater institute ended in complete failure for the young man. He did not drop his hands, but even felt a certain excitement. He got a job at a closed defense enterprise and began to prepare for admission. For two years he worked with director Aria Bykhova, and then brilliantly passed the entrance exams and became a student at the Moscow Art Theater School for the course of Vasily Markov.
But the acting fate of Sergei Velyaminov turned out to be much less successful than that of his father. He graduated in 1991 when a crisis hit the country. And Sergei at that time already had a family requiring his care. Sergei Petrovich understood perfectly well that he would not be able to provide financial stability to his family if he went to serve in the theater. And a graduate of the Moscow Art Theater School got a job in a commercial structure, and later became actively involved in business. He starred in only three projects, and viewers claim that Sergei Velyaminov inherited his father's talent.
Family ties
Pyotr Velyaminov and Elena Manevich lived together for 15 years, and then the actor fell in love again, this time with Tatyana Tanakova, with whom he moved to Leningrad. Sergei, who lives in Moscow, tried to support Elena Manevich, often visiting her after his father left.
I also visited my father in Leningrad, and saw that my father, despite the years and the Parkinson's disease discovered in him, was happy. At the end of his life, Peter Velyaminov's connection with his eldest daughter Catherine was restored, who, like her father, became an actress, works in the Omsk Youth Theater.
But Irina, Sergey's own younger sister, became addicted to alcohol. First, she married Mikhail, the son of Elena Manevich, then divorced him, in marriage with her second husband, she gave birth to a daughter. And she almost killed a seven-month-old baby while intoxicated. After Irina was arrested, Peter and Sergey Velyaminovs simply deleted her from their lives.
Sergei Velyaminov admits: he really misses his father, who died of pneumonia in 2009. Sergei Petrovich still lives in Moscow, is engaged in business and leads a non-public lifestyle. He completely inherited his aristocracy and natural modesty from his father and does not try to become famous by giving interviews about the dearest person in his life. The youngest son Sergei Petrovich named after his father Peter.
Pyotr Velyaminov did not have a theatrical education, but his innate self-esteem and devotion to his chosen profession were fully present. He went through 9 years in the camps, but he was not disappointed in life, he was not embittered, he was always extremely honest with himself and with the people around him. Behind him there were already 4 marriages when fate gave him another meeting. And they had a whole quarter of a century of happiness in stock.
