Video: How was the fate of the daughter of "tragic clown" Lev Durov

He was called a tragic clown for his ability to turn even the most dramatic situation into a farce. This applied to all areas of his life, whether it was filming a movie or raising a daughter. Lev Durov managed to convey to his daughter two of his most important life principles: to always be on the move and never lose heart. Ekaterina Durova inherited many important qualities from her father and was closer with her father, and not with her mother Irina Kirichenko. Although she loved, of course, both.
Paternal character
She was born in 1959. A little later, the parents received a tiny, but separate apartment in Khrushchev, where all the necessary furniture and a piano brought by my mother, who loved to play music, squeezed in with difficulty. The daughter first slept in a small crib, put together by her father immediately after her birth, and then on a cot, placed directly under the keyboard.
However, everyday difficulties did not bother anyone, and the tightness did not prevent the married couple from receiving numerous guests and feeling all the delights of life. Catherine fully inherited the character of her father, was just as energetic, stubborn and cheerful. When the parents, due to the frequent absence of home, were forced to send their daughter to a boarding school, Katya did not even think to take offense at them. She understood everything from childhood. Growing up, she could jokingly reproach mom and dad for the "official" childhood, but in fact she was even grateful to them for that school of life.
The worst thing for her daughter was her father's punishment. Most often, upon learning of Katya's fault, he simply fell silent. He didn’t say a word to her and seemed to stop noticing. No conversations could compare in the degree of impact with the icy silence of Lev Durov.
She fully inherited from her father his talent, sense of humor and heightened sense of justice. But at the same time, she had a completely paternal categoricalness, intolerance to rudeness and an instant reaction to it: if someone offended her, retribution came immediately. Katya reacted to insults with lightning speed, well-aimed and strong blows. She also had the ability to fight from her dad.
Catherine, like her father, was always on the move, knew how to stand up for herself, and by the time she graduated from school, she had firmly decided on her future profession, deciding to enter the theater. It is worth noting that childhood in the boarding school left its mark on Katya's appearance. She was constantly hungry and at home with incredible speed absorbed everything that was offered to her. Dad tried to fight this, put his daughter on a diet, but she still ate incredible quantities, eventually turning into a natural fat woman.
That is why, when her daughter started talking about the profession of an actress, her mother suggested that she first look at her daughter in the mirror. But for young Katya, despite all her complexes, her appearance did not at all seem to be an obstacle to fulfilling her dreams.
Then the father joined in the upbringing and asked his daughter a question, does her own reflection bother her? It did not bother her at all, and then he delicately hinted at her data that was not quite suitable for an actress. But Catherine only retorted: "What about you ?!" The father had to admit that his daughter was right, but most of all he would be struck by the fact that during the tests she was going to read the monologue of Alyosha Karamazov. It was a very strange choice for a girl. But Katya insisted on her own, convincing her father that she understood the torment of the hero much better than many men.
Lev Konstantinovich waved his hand, but gave his word not to interfere and not help Catherine in her admission. But Katya did not count on her father's patronage. She inherited from him a heightened sense of justice.
The girl did not enter the Moscow Art Theater School, but she was enrolled in GITIS, however, one of the teachers just before the graduation of Ekaterina Durova admitted that he personally convinced the members of the selection committee not to take her on the course. She seemed to him too complete for the acting profession.
Continuing the dynasty
Ekaterina Durova graduated from GITIS and was immediately accepted into the troupe of the Taganka Theater, where she worked for 4 years. After that, for 35 years she served at the Theater on Malaya Bronnaya, the same one where her parents had worked since 1967.
While Catherine was studying at the institute, her father refused to watch her work until the third year. Perhaps he was afraid to be disappointed. When the daughter began to act in film, Lev Konstantinovich had a reason to be proud of his daughter. The first role of the girl was a nurse-student in "School Waltz", and after Ilya Averbakh approved Ekaterina Durova in the film "Faryatyev's Fantasies", where she was to play the sister of the main character.
At first, the young actress was very happy, but when she found out who she was going to work with on the set, she was frankly scared. I was afraid to be too pale and inept against the background of Marina Neyolova, Andrei Mironov, Zinaida Sharko. Catherine worked beyond her strength and capabilities, so she wanted not to fail, to be worthy not only of her colleagues, but, first of all, not to blush in front of her father.
Lev Konstantinovich, having looked at Faryatyev's Fantasies, looked differently at his own daughter. Added to his boundless love for her was professional respect. Ekaterina Durova starred in almost 50 films, some of which will be released in 2020.
Lev Durov's daughter always dreamed of the same family as her parents had. They were together practically from the student's bench and through the years carried love and respect for each other. She also married for the first time as a student, at the age of 20 gave birth to a daughter, but the family with fellow student Sergei Nasibov did not work out. Their daughter Katya Jr. was not yet a year old when her parents broke up. The reason was Sergei Nasibov's romance with Natalia Gundareva.
Then it was Lev Durov who became an antidepressant for his daughter, made him cry first, and then laugh at the situation. And live on. A few years later, he also introduced Katya to Vladimir Ershov, who, as a result, became her second husband. In marriage, a son, Ivan, was born. However, for Katya Jr., Vladimir Ershov became a real father, loving, understanding and wise.
When the actor asked Lev Durov for the hand of his daughter, he promised him to take care of her all his life. And he kept his word. He was with his wife until the very last day of her life.
He supported her when her mother, Irina Kirichok, passed away in 2011. In 2015, Lev Konstantinovich passed away. Vladimir Ershov helped his wife cope with these severe losses. And then he supported and forced not to give up when Ekaterina Durova herself was diagnosed with cancer.
It seemed that they had almost defeated him, but radiation sickness made itself felt after several courses of therapy. On December 13, 2019, Ekaterina Lvovna passed away. She was only 60 years old …
Ekaterina Durova was always tormented by the question: what could her mother, a stately beauty with aristocratic manners, find in her father, Lev Durov, a modest, even a little funny, young man? And they just loved each other. Until death did them part.null
