This German artist and photographer has illustrated the incredible story of the relationship between an owl and a dog.
An owl from a funny series of photographs by a German photographer Tanja Brandt name is Poldi. Tanya decided to document the friendship between Poldi and the cute shepherd Ingo by making a charming photo cycle in which photographs alternate in the studio and in the open air. Here, Ingo is holding a stick, on which a little owl is proudly perched; here, they are resting together, slightly leaning against a mossy tree; here, they are posing in an uncomplicated studio set.
Surprisingly, each time Brandt manages to achieve an unconventional naturalness of what is happening. The viewer begins to think that there is nothing strange in the friendship between a shepherd and an owl. Everything looks very harmonious, although Brandt must have spent many hours coming up with plots for filming, and then bringing them to life.
“I have loved dogs since childhood,” admits Tanya, “and in general, all animals, especially birds of prey and wild cats, cause a flurry of emotions in me. Today I cannot imagine life without a dog, and in my environment there are hardly any people who do not love these animals."
Tanya started photography almost by accident. She has watched professional filming of dogs more than once, and it seemed to her that the key to success in this matter is a good camera. However, as often happens, the budding photographer was disappointed: almost all of her first photographs came out unsuccessfully. True, this did not stop Brandt. She began to practice hard, at the same time attending workshops for aspiring photographers. Things went well. Today Tanya can do a complex thematic photo cycle or take the most incredible photography with wild animals.
