Do not be afraid of the knife - be afraid of the fish - this is how you can paraphrase popular wisdom. Considering the number of "individuals" in this metal school of fish, there will be more than 4 thousand holes. Although, of course, in fact, the installation "Kitchen Fish", or "Cutlery Fish", in the center of London holds on tight and does not scare anyone. Why was it even necessary to launch art animals into the London sky?
The answer is simple. The school of forkfish over Heddon Street was commissioned by a local entrepreneur who wanted London residents and visitors not to pass by his restaurants. And the unusual installation between the houses is hard to miss. The silvery jamb stands out against the dark evening sky and, like an arrow, indicates the direction to the food source.
The author of the project, designer Ian McChesney, is a multi-artist: he does not disdain either architecture, sculpture or installations. The audience will have to decide whether a heavenly sign (after all, a fish is a symbol of Christ) is reduced to an advertisement for daily bread or a commercial product suddenly acquires new sublime meaning.
