Poland and Ukraine over the history of relations between these countries and peoples, they had many both negative and positive moments. However, there are many more factors that unite them than they separate. It is to this mental unity that the artist's very extraordinary works are dedicated. Jaroslaw Koziara.

Jaroslaw Koziara placed two of his huge works right on the border between Poland and Ukraine. And they look like two giant fish, which are separated by the border between these states, passing along the Bug River. And each country has two halves of these aquatic animals.

Thus, Jaroslav Koziara wanted to show the unity between Ukraine and Poland, going through the centuries, uniting history, culture, economy, people in all their troubles and joys. And this is despite the fact that in recent years these two states have found themselves on opposite sides of the Schengen area - Poland has already joined the European Union, and Ukraine is only declaring its desire to do it in the future!

Nevertheless, as Jaroslav Koziara clearly demonstrates, the mental unity between peoples is much stronger and stronger than the geopolitical boundaries drawn by politicians!

These giant fish were created between the Polish village of Gorodishche and the Ukrainian Varyazh, the distance between which is less than two kilometers. However, this path is cut by a border.

When creating these unusual works, Jaroslav Koziara used 23 types of different trees and shrubs. Moreover, he completed his project in just a year (compare with the green Notre Dame de Paris in the Netherlands, which has been cultivated for twenty-five years!)

The author himself comments on his work in the following way: “Ukraine is not included in the Schengen Area and the European Union, and, therefore, is on the other side of the rampart dividing the European Continent. But artists cannot agree with this - we create ideas and bring them to life, ignoring artificially drawn boundaries!"
