The famous architect Frank Gary, the developer of fantastic designs for modern buildings and pieces of furniture, tried on the role of an artist and a sculptor. He created a whole series of art lamps Fish lampswhich look like small illuminated sculptures. This entire collection arose, as they say, by the will of fate. Working with the new composite material Formica ColorCore, the architect drew attention to the remnants and debris that was going to be disposed of, and came to the conclusion that they are very similar to fish scales. And since there were already a decent amount of such scales, it occurred to him to use them. This is how original art lamps, illuminated sculptures from the Fish Lamps series appeared.
Interestingly, these glowing fish can be attached to any place in the house. On the wall or ceiling, these will be decorative lamps, on the table or bedside table - bedside lamps, and during the day - design art objects for interior decoration, no different from any other figurines, figurines and other home accessories. The designer also welcomes co-authorship: the scales that make up the glowing sculptures are fastened together in such a way as to allow the fish to change shape, for example, to flirtatiously raise their tail or bend with the whole carcass.
Unusual art lamps will be displayed at the Gagosian Gallery, at an exhibition in Los Angeles and Paris.

Why a metal rock was erected in France: Frank Gehry's insane masterpiece
The legendary and outrageous architect Frank Gehry surprised the world with a new project. This spring it is planned to open the building of the cultural center in the French city of Arles. The high-rise made of stainless steel has a very original look: the facade consists of “wavy” edges, and the building itself seems to be composed of metal bricks, as a constructor. Crazy and "human" buildings of the genius Frank Gehry, which amazed the whole world
His buildings are known all over the world and leave no one indifferent: the Dancing House in Prague, the Brain Health Center in Las Vegas and many other projects of this architect, on the one hand, have won world awards, and on the other, they look like a figment of a sick imagination. They look really crazy. And at the same time, they fascinate. It is clear that only a very extraordinary person could come up with such a thing. After all, it's not for nothing that Frank Gehry is recognized all over the world as the largest architect of our time
Air lamps, cloud lamps, paper lamps
Remember how in the elementary grades of school and in the preparatory group of the kindergarten we had to cut out all sorts of handicrafts from colored paper like snowflakes, Christmas trees, lanterns? It was especially difficult to make flashlights: scissors now and then tried to cut more paper than was needed, and then the flashlight ceased to be as beautiful as the one that the teacher showed. At least that's how it was with me … London-based designer Yu Jordy Fu, apparently, does not have such problems with the manufacture of flashlights

There is no need to explain what Homo sapiens is. And if you delve into biology textbooks, you can also find references to Homo erectus, Homo ergaster and other fossil precursors of modern man. And in February of this year, the public learned about another completely new species - Homo luminosos, which was born through the efforts of the sculptor Roseline de Thelin
