The artist Francesca Gabbiani (Frencesca Gabbiani) in her paintings depicts life in all its manifestations. Forest and city landscapes, bouquets of flowers, interior of a house or a separate room, paintings on mythological themes - all these works of the artist from Los Angeles are presented at the exhibition entitled "The Present", which starts at the Patrick Painter gallery on September 12 and will last until October 24.
Many people are engaged in the art of collage, but not many manage to achieve the perfect technique. The artist Francesca Gabbiani is among the few who have mastered this skill to perfection. She uses pieces of paper that she carefully pre-cut to create her vibrant, deep, rich and decorated work. When cutting or layering colored paper, the artist also uses gouache paint. And no matter what collage the artist does, be it a fireplace, or the interior of a room, the effect of her paintings is simply amazing.
Francesca Gabbiani was born in Montreal, raised in Switzerland, studied at the Rijkskademie van Beeldende Kunsten in Amsterdam and the Art School in Geneva, and then moved to Los Angeles. Her work has been shown at the Armand Hammer Museum, Laura Reynolds Gallery, Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art.

Secrets and hidden interpretations of one of the most mysterious paintings: "The Flagellation of Christ" by Piero della Francesca
The fantastic vision and mathematical calculation of "The Flagellation of Christ" by Piero della Francesca made this picture one of the most mysterious in the history of painting. The composition is embarrassing by the combination of two seemingly incompatible episodes - the New and Old Testaments. What is the secret of the dissonance of the famous canvas?
Smoky photoart. Collage paintings by Mehmet Ozgur
"It is so smoky that there is no reflection in the mirror, and even the opposite face is not visible," sings the incomparable Marina Vlady. And if you have not found the face opposite, you can always see it in curls, clouds and circles, which are formed by themselves from the smoke, and then dissolve in the air, as if they never existed. A fleeting vision, a genius of pure beauty, an illusion, a mirage, mysterious images and amazing forms - and this is just a small list of what can be seen in clouds of smoke in the presence of fantasy and
Mary Lou Zelazny and her surreal reality of collage paintings
For who we are, we should thank not only our parents for heredity and upbringing, but also the society in which we grew up and in which we move. So, if the artist Mary Lou Zelazny was not born in Chicago and did not communicate with local imagists, her creative style would be very far from what she is demonstrating now. By the way, even eminent experts find it difficult to name her style, preferring to say that the artist is balancing on the verge between reality and
Paintings from pieces. Collage portraits by Patrick Bremer
Someone's parents leave a property, a car or a bank account as an inheritance, and the British artist Patrick Bremer inherited his creative talent from his father. So, Patrick grew up in a family where his father was an artist and art teacher, and he, of course, primarily influenced the work of his son. Then, when the sister of the young artist met a guy who was fond of the work of Iron Maiden, he, with bated breath, looked at the album covers of the group, the author
The cat theme in the painting of Francesca Dafne Vignaga (Francesca Dafne Vignaga)
Photographers joke that "a cat accidentally caught in the lens automatically turns the picture into a masterpiece." And the cats, which the artists depict in their works, automatically make everyone who looks at these pictures smile, and also automatically raise their spirits to the level of "so cute!" I would like to say this phrase about the paintings of the Italian artist Francesca Dafne Vignaga (Francesca Dafne Vignaga)
